Nick M.K. 574 Posted June 25, 2018 You can buy caravan or trailer plate holders for around a pound or two each and adapt them to do exactly the same job. I used similar to fit trade plates covering the current plate of the car but this was forbidden a while ago. I just display in windscreen again. I bought a set but have never used them as they are horrible sharp things that will cut your fingers and scratch your cars. David Ayers 171 Posted June 25, 2018 I use the 2nd pair on Grants link. Fiddly but do the job. But they won't work on cars, such as Peugeot 207,etc with low front number plates. Nor cars where the number plate is just above the bumper. Oh. Don't use them on Astra VXR'S. The exhaust is below the number plate. Burnt mine!! I get what they mean, they mean to say that the plate shouldn't be facing the sky stuck on a flat bonnet or boot lid but vertical is a daft word to use for this.
