Lost a bet, am I in the shit?

Recommended Posts

Never bought or sold or even driven an Alfa, foolishly had a bet with a mate in the pub, footy related, stupid I know but hey ho, anyway I've ended up giving 2k for an immaculate 159 1.9JTDM 77k 57plate fsh and belts done 5k ago, I would have given 1k if my bet had 'won'...

Foolish yes, dont need the lectures on responsibility and the effects of alcohol and the inability to say no and being easily lead, but will I come out alive on this one?

Sold 2 Mitos both 2009/2010 plates, 1.3 JTD in red. Both barely any calls but the first buyer bought. Sold them both within a month for good profit.

This is going back 2 years though, so not sure what the market is now.

Cheers, I just have visions of it sitting there laughing at me.... EPV no because Im still hoping theres a chance even tho I lost the bet,  I've always thought they were sticky unreliable headaches probably unfairly as thats based on Alfas of old.

57 plate alfa 159 has a very limited following almost not wanted

for anyone who has never driven a proper alfa then they need to

not keen on the mito dash too high and ride too choppy for me

Chief I wouldn't risk buying another these days not unless it was very cheap. Not a fan of them either, pretty things but they're toy cars in my opinion.

Love the styling of those 159's, but good god, the gearboxes that came with the 1.9 jtdm engines, are made out of cheap Lidl chocolate.

Think they're the dreaded M32 Gear box that are in alot of Vauxhall's too.

Hats off to you for being a risk taker, fortune favours the brave :-)

Hopefully there is buyer out there that "always wanted one"...

Good news is that Alfa’s are good sellers, the bad news is they have great ‘bounceback’ ability probably because they are ‘shite’ and the type of punters they attract......Good Luck
