Pip 12 Posted June 20, 2018 Any thoughts on these? I have always had autos to sell but only ever had one French auto and really got my fingers burnt. This is 1.6 chap has to p/x against a Mini Cooper s 2016.
EPV 631 Posted June 20, 2018 Not sure whether they would be perceived as a little underpowered?
David Ayers 171 Posted June 20, 2018 "but only ever had one French auto and really got my fingers burnt." A scenic? The valve chests were notorious for failing. Or a PSA EGS semi auto? If the C3 is low mileage go for it. There is high demand for small autos from the elderly.

sparky 274 Posted June 20, 2018 Boxes are ok, the stuff that works them can be a little dicy but no huge expense. That said, a small auto ticks a lot of boxes. Get the deal done.
BHM 994 Posted June 20, 2018 A 9 year old French hatchback is hardly a major financial decision is it!?!!!
Mark101 536 Posted June 20, 2018 As long as the margin from the Mini washes the PX's face - go for it - you've little ot nothing to lose. 1.6 is a big engine in a small car mind.
NOACROSS 414 Posted June 20, 2018 Have sold hundreds of french autos with little issues. However, I had a box let go in one exactly the same as yours a couple of years ago. Is unusual though in my experience and I was lucky enough to find a guaranteed second hand one for not a lot of money. I'd sooner a French auto box (and a French car over a German car in general) over a German one anyway -maybe with the exception of that EGS Box in the Picassos- just because they drive horrid IMHO.
