Accounts package and bank recommendations

Hi

I'm just starting my own small trading company having worked in the industry for some time. Do other small traders have any recommendations or advice

Accounting packages - Xero, QuickBook, Sage seem to be the main ones?

Bank accounts - Starling, Tide, Monzo or just a high street name?

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated

Metro bank best for car dealer no stupid limits for not being able to pay for cars and payments don't get held up for hours and hours for fraud checks.

 

Avoid HSBC if you ever plan to spend your money.

 

Lloyds bank also seem good for business.

 

Accounts package, whatever intergrates with your DMS / spreadsheets and whatever your accounts firm is familiar with.

Lloyds business banking has free accounting software for 3 months free, £5 per month thereafter.

Lloyds bank is good , no limits on capping your payments like some do , very frustrating when you need to buy cars . 

Ask your accountant what they use for accounts , or DMS like Clickdealer web sites integrated with invoices are good too .

Been with HSBC for many years but getting more and more difficult.  Recently went to pay in £1000 cash and got questioned 'is it your account, is it your money'!!! Unbelieveable.  This was a bank found guilty of moving billions for Mexican drug dealers..
