SC Derby 259 Posted May 24, 2016 Realistically what would you want to be giving in pEx for a 2010 Pug 207 1.4 VTi Verge with 102,000 on the clock and average s/history?

Rory RSC 596 Posted May 25, 2016 I can sell 207's. I can make profit. I rarely manage to sell a 207 and make profit
SC Derby 259 Posted May 25, 2016 I like the 1.6 diesel sub 50k really but the petrols seem to have constant head gasket & gearbox issues.
SC Derby 259 Posted May 25, 2016 Just ordered a part from Peugeot, £220 was it's list price. Some ecu or control unit. I asked if there was any trade discount, 'yes' they said but I'd need to bring down a business card and two forms of ID. That's fine I can sort that. New price £216.

SC Derby 259 Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) Madness isn't it? Customer was enquiring on a 2008 40k Scenic I have up for £2800, so basically he wants to give me £900 and then god knows what I do with his piece of cr*p that no doubt has hidden mechanical issues. Below is only similar car I can see using the free valuation tool, less miles and less money at retail than AT's trade value. Yeah being a VTi probably has a noisy cam pulley. Definitely not a good deal! Glad I'm not on AT
SC Derby 259 Posted May 28, 2016 First sale from Motors this morning - guy lives 3 miles away tried Autotrader - far too confusing, too many sponsored ads, got frustrated and gave up especially as it's so slow. downloaded the motors app from app store, came here 2 days later and sold. I think the tide is turning.
Steve92 80 Posted May 28, 2016 The sq5 departed us today, we don't have much left in stock now and it's sunny so I'm expecting it to be quiet.
SC Derby 259 Posted May 31, 2016 Got a 12 plate Corsa 1.3 CDTi I took in part ex, 36k, low spec but mint. Put it on for £4,990 which for me seems cheap for a 4 year old diesel but anyway. Sold it over the weekend, today get a call saying she has seen it's 'only worth £3,600 as a private sale' according to AUTOTRADER. It's just so annoying. Where can you get 4 year old diesels with 36k on for that price?? Tell me I'll go and buy them all!! It's madness. Anyway I've explained it and showed her we are basically 4th cheapest on autotrader, and second cheapest if you discount a couple of CAT D's. It's madness how they are operating at the minute. Tom 164 Posted May 31, 2016 Does she not understand "private sale" A.T really is a terrible set up killing all their customers! Ebay is the king for me! One sold today, maybe last of the month see how it goes.
SC Derby 259 Posted May 31, 2016 It's crazy. The worst of it is, you can't get that car for that price as a private sale either, so it's just a load of total crap from start to finish. But I guess they still provided the enquiry that sold my car?
Rory RSC 596 Posted May 31, 2016 Had the busiest bank holiday weekend I have ever experienced. 14 cars sold Saturday/Sunday/Monday. No idea what kick started things but it just went crazy busy. Love the motor trade when I am selling, its busy and just can't beat the buzz.

Steve92 80 Posted May 31, 2016 We got down to 1 car, picked another up today and another is being prepped. Sold a 520d yesterday too. The 428 picked up today was priced fairly but when listing it on AT the owner said its recommended price was 25k way above what cap quote.
