Photographs are they worth the cost?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone on here pay a photographer to take the pictures of their stock and if so do you think that their (the photographer) services are reasonably priced or inflated? I was having a conversation with a dealer and he is going completely virtual with his stock. Something similar to Imperial Car Supermarket. It seems more dealers are using 360 virtual tours but is the price worth it? The dealer I was talking to said his cost was fifty pounds a unit.

£50 a unit !!! wow never in a million years but that said does depend on the value of the car your selling, for me i bought a good camera and learnt how to photoshop it took a while but got there in the end, now i can take out the sunlight if its to strong ect and the odd nutter trying to photobomb me.

here is my attempt this morning

Looks good to me. Shines and that is what a car should do. There are a lot of tutorials on the internet on how to use Photoshop etc  which can make a huge difference when presenting a car. Just have to remember not to take out and dings etc :)

I do take your point on board the background is a tad busy, however for that vehicle i was aiming at a particular client which is the local student base in the Swansea marina, and it worked a treat a young lady from china bought the car from the block opposite where the picture was taken, i was just using the picture to show you dont need the expense of someone taking pictures as long as the car is prepped well it will work.

this is more the normal kind of picture we would use.

The ' car' is the important bit and we only have a few seconds to get the attention if the car stands out ... then buyers will look further ! One the shots I do is attached - lots have commented on it ! :)
