There are two locations. Let's say the rents are almost the same. In this case, which one will you pick: Location 1: A 3,500 sqft industrial unit with two parking space in front. 15 minutes drive from home. Location 2: A roadside site with forecourt (fit 7 to 10 cars) + small office + backyard (fit 30 cars). 50 minutes drive from home. Which one will you pick? Why?

Maybe a bit conversational but here goes ! I have no problem in everyone knowing who i am , name, dealer etc etc .. I just feel sometimes I see various posts and would be good to know more about the person/dealer/area /stock profile etc etc to give me better understanding about that dealer , I click on the name - , when it goes to profile nothing more ! So i'm none the wiser about who that person is or about their business ! If the full details were on there I'm sure we could possibly help each other more as we would understand each others businesses more , not only that but if I'd sold a car in a certain area had an issue with the car one of the trusted fellow dealers could help out - visa versa ! Just a thought ? what do YOU all think? umesh

Hi Guys, I'm very new to the forum and have been using this great resource to help put a business plan together. I am planning on getting back into car sales - after an 18 year break! Yes I know, you may think I'm mad but, I've always enjoyed cars and think its time to get back into something that I love. Anyway, I am interested in every ones opinion as to car pricing - especially pricing in regards to location/area. Now, whilst doing my research I have noticed that many car prices do vary quite a bit depending on the location that they are being advertised. For example, I can do a vehicle search and see that if I limit my search radius to say 100 miles, a selection of vehicles can be priced at £6000. However, if I were to say increase the distance to 150 - 200 miles, I can see that similar spec/age vehicles can be up to £1000 less. That is quite a difference. So my question to you guys is, do you take note of what is available within a certain distance of your location when pricing your cars? Or, as the internet is available to almost anyone and many potential customers have access to see prices from the whole country, do you tend to try and price your vehicles in relation to what's available on a wider scale? Interested in your thoughts. Ben

Just wondering who's who ? I have no issues with anyone know who I am , where my location or contact details are - so anyone is free to talk / contact me directly if they so wish . Are others worried about rest of the forum members knowing who's who? Any particular reason ? #JustAsking
