I had a caution last time but in bold letters said they would not let me off again.

Bread and butter isnt flying of the shelf either as the first time buyers are scared of losing there jobs one told me this morning, that plonker Osborn talking of tax rises isnt what i would call calming the waters either, i would call it smug throwing fuel on the fire.

first gut feeling is lets let the storm cloud settle and go from there, however i feel George Osborn should be booted out on his backside for the scare tactics he employed last week which i feel put the nail in the coffin for his side

Firstly I would say the industry is very mixed some dealers are doing well some are not, ourselves this month has been the worst month on month for several years so might be just bad timing.
There are to many factors for anyone to give you a definite answer sadly, I would look at the basics such as pricing and where you advertise them first.

its so quiet down here i rang the phone lines to see if they where working, cant fit any more stock in and not a customer in sight, the joys

i remember the good old days scraping cars was not bad news £100-150 now you be lucky to get £20 soz i know thats not much help

local gumtree we use for this kind of thing, whilst its owned by ebay it appears to attract the local price hunter in our area anyway

Like the Sale of Goods Act that preceded it, the Consumer Rights Actstates 01 oct 2015 that products must be:
- of satisfactory quality
- fit for purpose, and
- as described
my understanding is that even if you ask someone to sign a disclaimer you are unable to remove there rights under the above act, therefore even if they sign what ever you ask it can not be enforced by you.
similar rules apply to sold as seen no warranty ect comments on invoices

I presume he is throwing the car is not fit for purpose at you, had that last year its a right pain in the backside

What a nightmare, I would call his bluff trading standards are stretched to almost braking so cant seem them getting overly involved in this, as regards him contacting a solicitor that’s the oldest line in the book and with all the recent changes to the small claims courts ect it will costs him to pursue it with only the costs of repairs at the end of it even if he did win.

Do you not have any local auctions ? we are quite lucky here as we have a very good auction house and local to me within 15miles good range of stock and fees are no where near the big houses
-
Dont they think that once this gets out to all the dealers over the country it will hit there on line sales as you no longer have any faith in there "assured quality " ?
brave move

if they cant afford to run the vehicle you can bet your last rolo that it hasnt been looked after, there is quite a few of them going through our local auction at the moment and they bring not far of a decent main dealer part x confuses the life out of me why someone would bother
