  1. Hi Nick. The guides are only a point of reference and should be treated with caution. Retail back pricing has to be used but you will not achieve franchise dealer levels of pricing when selling from home so have to allow for this. Your advert looks nice and clear with good pictures. Need to be careful of convincing yourself that you have no overheads. Trade insurance, phone bills, auction fees, accounting costs, multiple advertising costs, prep and valeting materials all add up even when operating from home.   5. Seems to be such a grey area this. Be interesting if you can get a statement from a senior police officer for the magazine item.
  6. I find WarrantyWise very good but not sure about cars with a lack of history.
  7. Lots of customers just don't get the difference between retail and trade. WBAC values are very clever though. No fixed relationship to guide values and just tempting enough to get customers to turn up when selling. Not had a customer use it to benchmark a retail price before though! Out of interest, what was book retail on the Golf?
  8. Not come across anything particularly useful on App Store. Most of the trade stuff works well via mobile though so I just create a short cut on the home screen for the stuff I use regularly. ATM, Online Auctions and trade forums etc.

  10. I have been using video for a couple of months. Feedback from customers is good and it has definitely helped sales. I try to keep the video's to 60 seconds and don't use the youtube facility to correct camera shake as it can make the video look very distorted. For me the goal is simply to give the customer that extra confidence to come out and see the car. Spielberg has nothing to worry about, but this is one of my "shoots": Not too bad for a smart phone....having said that, I still haven't shifted this motor.............
  11. Hi Kido You mention that the cars have 2 years to run on the manufacturers warranty, isn't this invalidated if the car is recorded as Cat D?
