  1. Why tell them they are from Auction or that you are a dealer?? If you breakdown hide your trade plates, tax car at side of road on green slip tell them you have just bought yourself a new car and its broke down on way home.   £90 a year well spent

another topic on AT...................... we are all just jealous at the end of the day that there business model is Fu*%Ing Unbelievable and is generating huge profit.....................  any one of us here would do exact same thing

I hate Autotrader and as a trader I dont/wont give them my money,    But i love my Autotrader shares.... and when the advertising prices  go up each year by 20% i laugh at people who have money in bank earning 0.0005% interest while my shares go up funninly enough by 20% ;-))

  5. “Hi you all know that auto trader is a rip off”.

Yes and we know the govt have fcucked us all with Brexit
    old news,
for years traders have threatened to boycott it but nothing happens, if your not happy do as lots of us have and leave, don’t threaten them cus they don’t care,  just pull the plug. But if it works for you and costs say less then £150 per sale then stay. I personally hate them but as a business they are good and my Autotrader shares keep going up...

  6. in all fairness to the OP the rules around displaying Trade Plates are all to cock, how you display them by the book is crap and unachievable on some cars, the system need overhauling, one minute u have to cover original plates next you cant, but it has always said not to display in windscreen.

Oh wow another one who lacks compassion and empathy! Didn't go to watchdog mate, went straight to the police who have actually heard of them but have done nothing about it!

    Couple of points,

1, I am not your mate,

2, you have tried to nab a bargain and are bleating because it doesnt exist,

    3. you are on a car dealers website, we are trade professionals who pay proper money for a proper car and we know bargains on this scale dont exist

    4. you didnt go to a genuine dealer because you were unwilling to pay a right price for a right car

    5 SEE POINT ONE

best of luck with your studies I hope you learn that bargains do not exist

  8. wow how cheap are those cars, i better rush and reserve one with my debit card i dont want to miss out on a bargain....... and if it goes tits up i will go to Dom Littlewood or watchdog because i am an innocent private who has been scammed out of my hard earned cash... IF IT LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ITS A SCAM.

  9. quick heads up, I just bought a ctek mxs10 thats meant to be the top of the range thingy, refreshes recharges good for stop start batteries etc etc, had it a couple of days and its brought a couple of batteries i was about to scrap back to life so its paid for itself, advertised at Halfords for £130 but i joined halfords trade club n got it for £97,,,, by the time i claim vat back it will stand me at 80quid so i think its a bargain.

  10. Get the car back and see for yourself what is wrong before parting with any money,  a private saying an engine is fecked could be anything.... sort it or refund him..then rip up your warranty forms they make you look like a 70,s Arthur Daley you can’t legally treat a customer like that, if he buys a car from you and it is not fit for purpose you can’t expect to get away with going halves with him to make it fit for purpose and if it’s over a grand expect him to cough up the rest you are taking away his legal rights.

  11. Just sold an 07 Kia Sorento for £4500 high tax bracket, guy swapped a 107 in for it £20 tax,,,, bit of a know it all guy,  said he done his homework on google n knew all faults wot to look for etc but never once mentioned tax so neither did I, when he came to collect and tax it (yesterday) I just asked him for his debit card for DVLA online tax...... I await the scream when his statement arrives.... but he did say he had done his research ha ha
