I'm not sure anymore. It was literally a 4 inch scratch across the bottom of the door and the quarter. Seems excessive.
-
Lol! Very witty. I know, hope sooner rather than later!

Got another one for px on another car. 2006 Vito Dualiner 121k miles. It's down as a panel van, but there's windows in the back and a row of seats. Looks like a minivan but AT says panel van. Looks nice, but he wants £6k for it. Where are the people with cash?!
-
As it stands, he's gone silent. Think I would have passed anyway, but thanks for that. It would never have crossed my mind to see who fitted the seats.
-
No I don't mean you're repeating a thread. God knows I've repeated enough threads. I'm afraid I can't help you with that. Not far above basics to be honest. No doubt in the morning everyone will chime in.

Number plate replacement removal and refit

I used to buy Astonish upholstery spray from the 99p shop for the car seats. It was actually very good. -
Pretty sure there was a thread about this before. We don't do anything yet, although it would be a nice touch.

I used to use the trees. But now mainly vanilla shine spray on the dash/trims just before the viewing.

Audi VW TFSI 1.8 - 2.0 petrol 2008-2012 do not buy
tradegirl replied to Grantlfc81's topic in General Dealer Chat
Thanks for the heads up. Always liked the look of TFSI TTs but never managed to get once for the right price. -
Won't one of you just go buy the thing off him, and send him down to me with kesh?
-
...like a dog's nob....loving the image there Jason haha. I had no idea they did that, that's pretty clever! Sounds like an easier time, none of this orange peel rubbish.

Just photographed the damn thing in the shade, and it looks fine. Once the sun hits it, it's like a different car. Maybe I'll just sell it in the shade Funnily enough, it wasn't cheap cheap. He charged £300 for the door, the quarter, and to polish the roof and bonnet. So...sort of unacceptable.
-
Casper, it seemed like a fitting example haha. Funnily enough this isn't a bad time. Touch wood and thank God, for the first time in a while we have a few popular cars with a good profit. A couple of months ago it was dire straits with just crap. So I'm at least confident the cars are right, now it's just a waiting game. But definitely this job has its ups and downs!

...woodstain?

Have you seen that scene in the Three Amigos where they're in the desert, and two of them are dying of thirst, and Chevy Chase just glugs down water, spilling it everywhere while the others look on in thirsty disbelief? That's how I feel right now reading that haha. That's good news though!
-
In my defence, it's only blindingly obvious when the sun hits it. But yeah I should have washed it and checked it as soon as I got it. He's changed unit and workers, and it's a bit of a shambles at the moment. Shambles with a capital SH.... haha
-
I know. After 3 times I'd had enough of the damn thing.

1 series in the body shop for a scratch across rear door and quarter. Took it back 3 times as it wasnt right, and had drips down the paint. Had it back, it's been sat for a couple of weeks while I waited for my BMW guy to get me in. He's booked me in for tomorrow, so cleaning car ready for photos...stand back, and the door and quarter are a different blue to the rest of the car. FFS! And yes, I know it's my fault for not checking it before
-
Even if I wanted it, how would I price it up? As I understand, it's a Transit Custom DIY turned into a camper? So do I find prices off panel vans and add £ some on?
-
Thanks for the input everyone. Mixed opinions, but we'll see. Leaning towards a no unless it's v cheap. Ok Rory, I'll send you photos once I get them.

Jason, I welcome any advice when someone means well. He's sent me the ad he was going to place on eBay, and to be honest I'm already put off. Still waiting on the mileage and the spec, Casper. Will update once I know.
-
Well he's asking to px on a £8700 car, with "a little money on top". I don't know what these are worth, but if it's going to tie up £7000 of capital, I'm a bit nervous.

Thanks Mark!!

Hi everyone. Someone's asking to px a Transit Sport Day Van. ST seats, Rock and Roll leisure battery (whatever that is) Does anyone know how well these sell? Thanks.
