Arse! Can you tell I haven’t been out for 7 weeks? I just imagined that as I have had Eurocarparts ring me three times in lockdown, to tell me they are open, that some of the dealer parts departments would also be taking calls.

Both my parents are in their mid 70’s and I worry, Alzheimer’s and dementia adds a whole extra level!! You do really well, and always sound so positive on here. It must be so hard for everyone especially you and your mum.

If you’ve got a Vauxhall dealer near you, you could ask the parts department for help/deal/advise or even better one of those Vauxhall Trade Parts dealers. I’ve always found them to be really helpful to the trade.

We’ve had quite a time of it to be honest, my poor mother-in law felt poorly while having cancer treatment and was tested for Coronavirus, long story short she tested positive, was kept in insolation and then a Coronavirus ward for 2 weeks. She was ones of the lucky ones and survived, having said that even now she still gets breathless at times and struggles to walk far. I can’t explain how hard it was for my wife as there is nothing she could do to help and was almost impossible to get information/updates from the hospital staff. I was glad to have the kids around to keep me busy. I hope that you and your family are all well and surviving this terrible time.

I’m sure that more will become clear on Sunday when Boris give us his road map. I know of one large dealer group that is getting set-up to have a large part of their work force back in from the 11th of May. Would image that a huge number of big groups are hemorrhaging money and need to re-open before they can’t afford to. As a smaller dealer I’m happier to wait longer until it’s safe for my staff and customers.

Thanks for the welcome! Casper you also sound like a really genuine and warm person!! I also wonder if the CAP and Glasses guides will both take a similar view of the new market that we will find ourselves in. They have both been starved of so much market data and it will be interesting to see how they both call it.

Enjoyed these so much I joined the forum!! All of the Car Dealer Live’s have been good and really enjoyed watching both of you today. I really appreciate all you have done James to keep us all informed, entertained and keep our spirits up!
