Not sure about a refund but a site visit for you will probably be best
This might take some time though due to current problems

15 minutes ago, Highlinev8 said:Same boat, waiting three months for a V5. Cant ring Swansea, only taking keyworker enquiries, send an email and get an automated non reply with a reference number that means nothing.
I wont buy any car without a physical V5 now but its pretty shit from DVLA. Should be someway they can keep the service running even if people are working from home.
whilst I appreciate your thinking can you imagine giving someone access to v62,s from home to send off
I've got 3 log books for one of my vehicles as dvla had to keep changing them at one stage due to many being stolen
so just imagine you've done all your checks you live down south v5 shows north Scotland and you buy it
3 weeks later the rozzers come and advise you have sold a cloned mota
it's not nice your bottom falls

very good,very enjoyable,thanks

42 minutes ago, supreno said:thank you, thats not a mistake. I have a showroom you can google supreno cars, however, there is something dodgy about it as on voa, I am getting charged a good amount for a garage which I don't have so I was on the case and this virus popped out and put everything on hold.
nice setup
do not use a company promising to devalue for you,do it yourself ,you do it online on the voa site, weirdly once I got the grant my business disappeared off the voa page, but I expanded into next door last year so this might be why?,its all popped back,in again now
good luck

×××××××UK car dealers prepare to slash quarter of staff as pandemic bites××××××××
but this comes from today's financial times so obviously it can be ignored by the few
-
basically they have you by the nuts
work out if calling their bluff is worth future lost sales
if not say no
if it is maybe it would be easier to unravel the sale of the fiat and p/x and then issue new invoice for the fiat and write off the p/xas undone in your paperwork in case of future hmrc issues
in relation to cra yes you would be liable,as it doesn't discriminate for charitable organisations as they want you to be
a very difficult dilemma
choose wisely
me? well I would probably do a deal to appease them thinking I've done ok so far and a happy customer always stays a happy customer
an unhappy one tends to go on social media citing 'avoid like the plague 'even though you did nothing wrong

1 hour ago, supreno said:thank you it was really helpful. I moved to the current property in Feb and received the business rate bill in April. they actually got back to me yesterday saying that I owe them £2800 and thats why they are not paying and will only pay if I agree to either pay in advance or minus from the £25k. Hopefully I should get it soon.
hi something seems wrong here
unless you have a huge unit or are a showroom where does the £1400 a month rates come from
pm me if you prefer with full address so it will be on the voa website

regards thread content, it would be fare to say you are currently contributing little on here in the way of facts, help, or industry news,
it matters not who starts a thread, its a forum not bingo, do i want to have confrontation on here? - of course not, am i likely to take shite on the chin? - no fooking chance, am i bothered about any outcome whether that be insults or even a ban off here? - not at all.
of course people come and go on here being a forum, my point was members are leaving because of current negativity, that's a fact.
you surprise me
you are obviously happy that idiots are giving too much money for too few cars
I can only presume you are gaining from this over glutony to the detriment of the trade as a whole

26 minutes ago, awc1000 said:apreciate its big news, but the sunday times are not in the car trade, there's a lot going on in this trade at the moment that will affect us all, would be nice if folk on here would engage and share to help in the spirit of the forum, the press usually print whats happened not whats happening and they certainly don't print or discuss implications that affect the likes of us on here, we are after all the people on the ground in the job, they arn't.
I'm not claiming i know more than anyone else, but there is plenty to talk about regarding the current crisis that affects us on here which the papers won't have any interest in, ie with the big change around coming how will it affect our various suppliers, whether thats direct out of franchise or out of the block.
for me i need to and want to know the future outcome, and i guess a lot of folk on here do too,
if the topic is of no interest to members thats fine just ignore it, but some of the current sniping and negativity has resulted in some previous good members on here wandering off and losing interest, thats no good for anyone on here whether they be members or even admin.
this bulletin board lives by new threads being started and getting replies,I really dont know if you accusing me of sniping and negativity but I will add you always seem to want to disagree with whatever I say, this can be good or bad but shouldn't be taken as whoever's is right or wrong because everyone should have an opinion,I know I do
finally can I ask how many new threads you have started to get members to post and is it not the case that members new or old leave most bulletin posts boards in life once the novelty wears off as natural wastage
theres a private sector by the way if you feel strongly about something, its not a place that interests me I like things to be in the public domain

41 minutes ago, awc1000 said:rubbish,
current industry average for franchises is 1-2%, the 1% gross profit is irrelevant, its simply a case of big loses across certain franchises wiping out profits from their other winners, which they have a lot of, this isn't uncommon when a group own 100+ outlets.
their mercedes outlets alone make them the biggest mercedes retailer in the uk, these are owned outright and are very profitable, and they own rather than lease many other sites, they might be wounded but they still have a high value, just a case of how many sites they will sell or bin, they'l not be getting foreclosed by the bank that's for sure.
thanks for that
so basically you have more in depth knowledge than the sunday times business section
modified..... I've just been looking for the article for you but the wife used it for a chicken carcass, anyway blow me (figuratively speaking) james has done an article today, please go read it

well I'm washing my hands of them

at 1% gross profit the banks might foreclose the lot of em and sell the land for houses per government wants
we will find out soon now once the accounts get signed off

Door edges are a sure fire way of noting a cared for car , from a car used purely as a conveyance.
Scuffed wheels/wheel trims is another ie badly scuffed.
Finger fat on the interior switches, trims, steery wheel if not valeted, shows it was owned by some fat tart/or geezer that sweated a lot, avoid these cars at all costs as the seats will be saggy too

21 minutes ago, supreno said:Hi everyone,
Hope you all well and busy. I have applied for business rate relief grant at my local council which is Spelthorne on 19 of March and have not heard back from them yet. chased them many times but they keep on saying we will get back to you.
any advice ?
if you filled the form in correctly then all you can do is do as you are doing, they will be short staffed ,so probably doing each form by hand, the frightening thought is if they spend all the govt funds allocated ,before they get to you.

I think this doesn't require clarification so will leave your comment for the board to see
I find it strange to you stalk me at every opportunity and even at one stage called me a racist to the point I pulled the thread
if you really are in the motor trade and are suffering mental health problems there is some great help out there from a charity called ben
pm me if you need further details that you feel you cant discuss on an open forum
thank you

your not alone I have plenty myself, its one of the ways I buy to be ultra competative think park them up and wait this is what I do mi compound them and send €25 off but I knew this was not the way late march so havent bought any since
if you imagine dvla with many many cubicles with staff in and probably lots of hot desks it's easy to understand in the current clime they are in a difficult position
I think digital is the next step but have you ever tried explaining to a customer theres no log book but we can sort it out for you at the post office
most customers over 40 still think you are kidding them etc
