  1. Thats good to know, i guess... although as long as you've not gone full on Dr Dolittle i suppose its ok.
  2. An Animal Enthusiast scares me a bit, is this one stage away from crazy cat lady ?
  3. We've had Vauxhalls put back on our company car list, can only think this is awful news that will involve me spending far too long in the garage waiting for a mechanic to polish a turd. Not a fan, think walking is better.
  4. There is room somewhere in the magazine to put some of the problems with current cars etc, again this is useful with second hand car purchases, i remember buying an RX8 many years ago and found out the hard way about the hot start issues. If i'm honest i should have done more homework but it was an impulsive purchase and alot of RWD fun, so it was forgiven. Just thinking as well about the recent Vauxhall recall for the Corsa and Adam (try not to laugh) but maybe this is needed more for the second hand market. Sure there's a Car Dealer feature or two.
  5. 1. What would you like to see more of in the magazine? Would like to see more testing of the essentials, like how many suitcases you can fit in etc, the day to day use of a car. 2. Is there anything we don't cover you think we should? Accessories maybe, bike racks etc which makes are better and which are a nightmare. I always remember trying to get a tow bar fitting and being put off by the crazy price the main dealer were charging. 3. What are your favourite parts of the mag and why? Anything with an AMG ! The force is strong with that one, oh and any M car (BMW), do love a nice sounding car. Also love the stats, must be the geek in me but excellent pages in the mag. 4. And what don't you like (and if you say my column I'll ignore you...) Batch dress sence, how did he ever get the job in the first place, Tesco's will be pleased with his retro style, Tesco Express Only joking sure he's a nice bloke. Really can honestly say that there isn't anything that i feel that strongly about that i would tell you, obviously love the Baggott column, what a nice bloke !! (invite for Rockingham next year in the post) 5. Are there any features on certain areas of the business you'd like to see? Would like to see something auction related, maybe an auction watch type idea, trends etc. Sure you make something work where others have failed. Overall you're doing it right and sure the new batch will be fine !
  6. My other half has been looking at Lexus RX400h and after driving one i wasn't put off but what is going to happen when its 10 years old and the hybrid has decided that the batteries and motors are pants so the engine is permanently on ! Can't 100% say i am on board with this idea yet, so back to Range Rover shopping and stuff the batteries.
  7. I couldn't do it to myself, that rubbish build quality would drive me insane.
  8. Not saying its much of a review, but i generally call my boss a cock as he's buying an Audi, and i am fairly sure this nickname came from Clarkson. Not sure Ed is going to like this one, as i am sure he still has a shiny R8 Do agree with some of the reviews but usually try to listen to several, and read Car Dealer Mag for the proper advice.
  9. Thanks Andy, can't believe that this hasn't been resolved by a larger car manufacturer as there's more than just me with 3 kids. Maybe i just have to admit that lifes not for cabriolets and move to a sensible car thats interesting. Or say nuts to it and buy a Harley.......
  10. Kids just about get away with the rear seats, but Adults are just wrong. Might just have to aim for a coupe, as the search hasn't found one yet.
  11. Its becoming an obsession, as most are 4 and as yet not seen a 5 seater. Guess the fun stops at 2 children !
  12. Right strange question, but any cabriolets that have 5 seat belts ? Something i have found out after owning a 3 Series and never realised that most if not all are 4 seaters.
  13. Had a twitter conversation only today on this, apparently its a fairly easy thing for me to get an Electric car from Dorset to Hertfordshire with a FREE top up of juice at Fleet services (approx halfway) This means a i3 or Leaf is a possible on the next car list.
  14. Got one Andy but only a wifi version, i've got more Apple products than your leader !!
  15. Although a friend of mine, has a late Cherokee on a V plate and every year it passes a MOT and costs so little to run its amazing, only problem is he bought a big petrol engine so its no longer a daily drive but a weekend play thing.
  16. I must admit, the first place is ebay and then Autotrader for price check, with the little black books as a back up. Doesn't look very cool at the auction with a laptop checking prices!
  17. The Glass's sales man was nicer than the CAP one, couldn't think of another way to separate. Its all about the person on the day, as i believe most deals are the same. If you instantly dislike someone you won't buy from them.
  18. The only car that my other half has broke down when it was driven away, was a Honda Prelude 1999 2.2 VTi with motegi body kit. Was a lovely motor, wasn't brilliant on fuel but everything else was perfect, and a real drivers car. Everything since then has been boring family / life over cars. Oh those were the days.
  19. Remember reading an article on BMW's that they made as a one off, bet there's some great cars hidden away round the world.
  20. I liked the car dealer video with the RS Fords including the cosworth, although I am scared by the earwig on Batch's top lip. My eyes.......
