Oh no, so you had a message from someone who said I annoy them as well. First I was offered a meet up and now this,  well I'm gutted about that, absolutely distraught in fact. I doubt I will need counselling but it may take me a long time to get over it

You can say what you like but I'm not anti police, I socialise with police several times a year through being a member of an organisation.  I also stand by what I say, attitudes such as yours do not belong in the police. They are outdated and detract from the positive work the police undoubtedly do.

As for the little story about your neighbour. It's not similar in the slightest. I don't think you will be troubling Mensa anytime soon.

I never said my neighbour. Clearly you cannot read properly.

You have made such a pathetic attempt to back track what you said. Funny how your language changed when put in your place.

Its attitude like yours were the cops have to get assertive to deal with you and then you bash them.

Like I said am basing your rationale on your posts throughout the forum. Full of negativity. Again your pathetic attempt to try and implement some humour. It's so cringeworthy.

Keep replying because that's all you do without actually taking it to account anything that has  been said. Like i said pillocks like you turn a 5 minute pull over job into 50 minutes and end up getting tickets then crying about it.

Not a cop basher at all. But you are everything that is wrong with the police, prejudging and having a view of people before you have even bet them. Which is just what is wanted in the police

Then again I'm speaking to an ex copper who never fully understood how car insurance works

You can argue whatever you like but you're a cop basher.

'But you are everything that is wrong with the police'

That statement says so. People like you always think you're right. And you're prejudging without working in the job.

The examples i given you, you clearly dismissed them yet you know they're true. You resemble nothing but the typical London attitude. South East London to be precise and i know the negative sods there. Spent enough years there. Again it proves what i said. Looking at your other, majority of, negative posts further evidences it.

PS i just had a message off a member saying you annoy them too. You should really get out more. You spent 20/30 years in SE London or more? Then you cannot change your attitude.

Like i said visit North. North is above Nottingham / Birmingham. You will see how people talk to you. They give you time.

Dont get your vehicles delivered. Go for a couple of days (Newcastle / Manchester Bca) stay there and just see how people interact.

Clearly lockdown is making you go mad.

Am in the midlands and that doesn't cut it for me. I so want to relocate to Glasgow or Newcastle. They're the most relaxed and friendliest places in the UK on paper... And in person!

Gusss am just wasting time telling you this because you got a fixated negative mindset.

My neighbour once told me when i was a little boy 'just because someone is old doesn't mean they're wise'. Similarly when one is negative and fixated they'll always will be negative and fixated.

What he said, sounded like a true copper/ex copper.

Believe me cops like listening to people from a decent area.. It's the whole social circle crap... Ie if they know you live in a half a million pound house..

Most people around here live in half a million pound houses, hopefully they will demean themselves to help out if we ever need them.

    Well sorry to disappoint you.

You seem like a cop basher like a lot of people...

Imagine doing a job where you're constantly called out to petty domestics... 'he stole my car jack and am going to smash him'

'my misus is texting other guys and I punched her'.

You rarely get domestics in affluent areas. You get more burglaries... Ie theft of expensive cars, jewelry etc.

There is a trend. Just like your job now, you know who is going to pay you and buy a car or who is going to come and test drive and waste your time. Then you know who is going to come and play 'the mechanic of 20yrs'.

Every job has idiots and good people. That's like joe public saying car dealers are dodgy... You won't like it.

Forum is full of topics on how all customers are liars. Well no they're not.

All i tried to do was advise someone and, as usual, you dish out your negative side.

To be frank, the London attitude does stink. More chance of finding gold bars than a decent Londoner nowadays.

Visit up north and you'll see the difference in people. And no 'north' isn't 'anywhere out of the m25'.

PS there is a surge of complaints people breaking the lock down rules... Neighbours reporting neighbours for tit for tat...

Please go and find out if these neighbours are from a ghetto who blocked someone's parking space on a terraced street or whether it's one neighbour jealous that the other one has 3 ensuites in his 4 bedroom detached posh pad whilst he doesn't have any:rolleyes:

3 weeks in and I've only been attacked by mr ratty

Who now seems to have bogged off due to the constant wireless blaring of radio 4 ( it would  jog me off too)

Anyway,I seem to be the only person worried about social unrest

I live and work in a fairly quiet place but in the last 3 weeks have needed the services of the police 3 times

First time everyone arrested within 20 minute

    Second time  no response

3rd time like the keystone cops they arrived 10 minutes after the event

I've not seen a policeman near my property for 10 days now so relying on intermittent cctv

am I the only person on here having people under 30 causing me problems?

    Depends where you live.

As I said in another post, am lucky to live in an affluent area. Not everyone is mega rich or rich.

But they have common sense and decency ie Cross the road when they see you and vice versa.

Lack of cars on the road so my new cycling venture is safe at the moment, thank God.

Not seen a cop car around here.

Went through a run down area... And cop cars are circling the area like bees.... Including in unmarked vehicles.

Are you in a decent area? If so the chavs might be bored of the ghetto and think let's try and cause havoc at yours.

If so report them. If you and your neighbours are old, report the runts. Specify you feel threatened. Get your neighbours to as well.

Believe me cops like listening to people from a decent area.. It's the whole social circle crap... Ie if they know you live in a half a million pound house... Chances are you got a good job and your kids are behaving... So they'll go after the chavs that 'they don't fit in the area'.

These fines are petty £30 here there crap. Should be £1000 deterrents. But then again the govt dont want to seem heavy handed and people dont go out for essentials in case they think they get fined. Just how alot of folk with other medical issues haven't gone to A&E for treatment and died because they thought they might get the virus.

I agree To be fair does have a good business which has been trading for a number of years I've looked at cars from her before and vans as leasing looked liked an option at one point for a non motor trade business i was involved in at the the time but Was cheaper in the long run buying cars at a year old which in the long run worked out cheaper cause after the 4 year period the cars still had as value and could be sold on as 5 years  with above average miles without paying the premium per month due to the annual on the lease .though I've a friend who leases his cars every 2 years and insists he can find better deals online than ling could match he's  had a couple of good deals so far

in-fact we actually bought one of his return cars from bca .

    Still not convinced.

Which kind of person in their right mind would buy after looking at a site like that?

Seems like a 1999 Teletext competition

    My model is

    1) get lease deals on new cars

    2) sell the deals to customers

    3) place car order with the dealer

    4) do finance paper

    5) get dealer to deliver car.

    6) dealers pay me commission

    ===

Why would I want to buy stock? That's a mug's game. No stock, no overheads, no advertising, no pitch, just a website.

    I never see

    a) the customer

    b) the dealer

    c) the cars

But, I move 800-1000 new cars a year, so unless i am a magician, I think I'm a car dealer.

    ======

And Brewer? Hmm, don't mention him, we have history. He was 100% horrible to me, threatened to shut me down (on Pistonheads). So I was horrible back. I have all the screen grabs some where... he was trying to undercut my deals by forgetting to add VAT on his website (to consumers).

Ling V Brewer if you have an hour... 28 pages Pistonheads https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1482333

So at £200 per vehicle you're making £200k?

But why they come to you and not go to Dealer directly? Are you a company or one man band?

Sounds interesting. I understand the mugs game... Lol I feel like a mug sometime. The phone doesn't ring for months then it doesn't stop ringing for years

My customers are REALLY happy. They know they are getting a (cheap) new car deal - I tell them "I'm Chinese not Catholic, I can't do miracles"

Your analogies are a mile off lol. Cars have more parts than fridges and sweaters lol. So more can go wrong.

Also are you looking to do sales?

You mention you're Chinese. My concern is, I have read there has been a lot of racist attacks on Chinese because the narrow minded of the UK blame the Chinese for the virus.

So if you're looking to do a sale or two be very careful...

  9. @LINGsCARS the difference between a Next sweater and a car is huge.

As a seller you might be given the run around in non covid-19 era. But now some jokers will want to take the piss... I personally wouldn't want to be in that situation and the twist of the knife would be you might get ill on top.

If Billy says there is a fault. Do you refund? Or do you get a mechanic? Whilst mechanics are key workers a lot have closed shop.

Whereas the Next sweater you can return when shops open in 6 months

    Just playing Devils Advocate:

You’re one for the small print TV. Can you actually find anything that says contactless, virtual buying/deliveries can’t

Covid-19 update: Dealer Auction will remain active to advertise and transact vehicles. However, please adhere to government restrictions when arranging collection and delivery. Our team are working remotely but will do their best to manage negotiations. For questions please email info@dealerauction.co.uk. For negotiations please use negotiations@dealerauction.co.uk or call 0330 128 1250.

The catch and risk is the bit you highlighted in yellow.

How many people allow self test drive? Will you let your punter self drive a pricey motor? And they disappear?

Or they do come back and say its making a noise. You will walk up and say what noise... I can't hear it... Social distancing  can and is ignored very easily...

Your local environmental health / trading standards team can come and tell you to close... And issue a fine.

Amazon are still delivering crap (she’d tell you otherwise) to ‘Her Indoors.’

What’s essential about nail polish? Why are they allowed to deliver?

One van delivering to multi households of course. Is that safer than one car on one truck?

My friend... Delivery rules are simple. Knock on the door. Leave the parcel... 'howdy your delivery is on the floor. Ciao'

Cars is a different ball game. Hill billy 'ere mate it's making a squeaky noise' you walk up 'i can't hear it'.

You will ignore or be complacent to social distancing.

Also the virus is said to be live on surfaces for a long time. You will pass a key or touch the door handle or steering wheel and so will your punter. Whereas amazon box has probably not been touched for ages or handled with gloves.

I am only saying my 2pence but who am I. It's everyones individual decisions and their lives.

I am enjoying my time off... Go shopping at 745pm and the shops are dead.

I am lucky to live in an area where people are respectable and cross the road if they see you to maintain good distance.

From what I have seen there are plenty of dealers already open offering online sales only. We are closed but many appear to be selling!

    They can be fined.

    They're not essential key workers.

Lot of ads on fb about social distancing sales.

If they're flouting this rule they should not be trusted. Probably selling a banger.

    Feel free to report them.

@have a word with the wife well put mate. Saved me the typing lol.

PS i hear a lot of drug dealers have been caught. Hopefully Dodgy car dealers will be too. And if you're car isn't shown as taxed or insured as a buyer then expect your pants pulled down big time on top of essential travelling questions..

That isn't really accurate. If you contract the virus and you are pregnant, it doesn't automatically kill you both.

    It can cause major complications.

Especially if mother gets pneumonia or other lung issues. And then there could be that decision of either saving baby or mother.

I know I might sound jumping ahead of the gun but in the medical field one thing can lead to another especially with this lethal virus.

But I wholeheartedly agree the current generation are thick as a brick.

They're being paid to sit at home but cannot even do that.

It annoys me. Then they all blame bojo and others.

No one should have to tell you what to do...

Neighbour who's wife is pregnant has just had lots of friends round

To say I'm annoyed is obviously an understatement

    Thick bitch.

If she gets infected then goodbye to herself and the baby.

    Such people should be reported.

You wonder where do the youth these days get their brains from...
