Did anybody see the Suzuki Jimny that went through Auction 4 Cars this morning? 16 plate, 18k miles. Cap Clean was £8300. Hammer fell at £11000. The retail book was only £9700. I know these things make money but that is crazy.

we would retail that at £12,995 and it would sell within days

Jimnys gold dust up here in the lakes

Definitely but overall they’ll do fine - I guess they do the sums at each auction & as long as that day’s lots overall end up in the positive column then everything gets sold (or am I oversimplifying?).

The good thing about Arnold Clark entries at the block is it doesn’t matter which auction you’re at they are there to sell - most provisional bids are taken & usually an instant decision. No fucking about begging for another £50 unlike some vendors.

Yes suppose you are right. volume with them and £1 profit is better than none in their eyes.

  3. Not a trick as such, but word has got around about our local Arnold clark dealer being an easy touch for offloading part exchanges with issues.

They never drive them or seem to start the car or check electrics, they just look at the bodywork and ask the mileage.

and because they change salesmen so often it just keeps repeating. they must lose a lot in the auctions.

  4. Claiming a part exchange has a full service history but the handbook is at home..... but its deffo got it also it deffo has 2 keys.

customer arrives for handover 1 key and no history to be found,  we will be re revaluing your part ex now mr customer......

they hope we don't ask or they say its in the glovebox, right I will just nip out and get it.........

Yes they doB), DA had a guy do this for a Vauxhall dealer I used to buy from, and a dealer in Northampton I bought from too.

Its meant as 'showing the ropes' exercise but DA get twitchy when a dealer isn't loading cars like they used to. If the excuse is "not enough time" then DA have sent a guy in I guess to keep the enertia going.....usually even more useless, mechanically inept and visually challenged than vender.

I do agree with you about them sending the rep around to show you how da would like it done and to show you how to upload,

but they certainly do not send staff out just to do pics and upload stuff having dealt with them for a long time this just doesn't happen no matter how big the dealership is.

  6. Border cars had been in trouble for a few years, their old accountant fleeced them for a lot of money and as the owner also was doing some dodgy deals not much was done, border cars even were taking deposits upto the day they stopped so the man who owns it is a criminal, he has now set up a new company in his daughters name.

sorry for the staff and losing their jobs but the man himself had it coming.

The fitness gear should always support your body to perform effectively. I am a fitness lover and this is why I invest in top notch quality gear. I have just bought new summer floral beyond yoga leggings and tops that are not only comfortable but super stylish as well.

Leggings do not sell cars, balloons do we all know this

Been doing a lot of searching and found out the two people running the whole thing are actually on the FBI most wanted list for money laundering amongst plenty of other things! The website was made in Russia but when tracing get the ip addresses on the emails it looks likely they're using an IP blocker to hide their location. Still waiting to hear from the bank, they've got another couple of days and if it's not the outcome I want it's going further to the financial ombudsman with all the proof that I took care when making sure this company was "legit" and hopefully get the money back that way plus some compensation! Then it's off to a dealership by me!

    compensation ?

why would you be given that ? and by who exactly.

  10. It also seems that being thick isn't a thing of shame anymore, I understand the text talk and brief enquiries as they don't really have the communication skills or are just too thick in trying to articulate their point.

My education was also non existent, in fact I never even attended secondary school, but I am polite enough when making enquires into something I am interested in, I think its a lack of manners to just send a two word enquiry as we often receive also a lot of customers don't seem to have a decent attention span.

  11. I Have noticed they put they odd * fake car * in adverts that looks dirt cheap to get enquiries in.

have had a few friends who have bought from them and they have said the prep on the cars is criminal and even some didn't get a valet on their car.
