Excellent point James, no end of new cars on every media format already, online and off. As a newbie of only a few days only I have not seen a copy yet, but some kind of regional focus might be useful as there may be interesting trends across the UK which in turn may affect the viability of travelling to auctions long distance (or not), and the real cost of delivering (or not) might be put into perspective.

There is very little we can do other then remove all the tax disc's off the screen, remember which one's have tax in case we need to jump in a taxed car sometime in the next few months. Next thing I will do is check the DVLA's website on Wednesday and see how we go around taxing cars online using the V5C/2 Green slip, which is one of the new facilities the DVLA have promised.

Same as Wheelerdealer here! We've always taxed sold cars at the Post Office ready for customers to drive away and we're still going to be doing that. The only thing thats changed is that at the time of taxing we have to submit the V5 in the new keepers name. My current user has got a disc until January which DVLA have told me that as long as the yellow slip has been submitted and its showing as in trade, the disc is valid for use by the trade. When I sell it, the new keeper will have to tax it. Simple!

The recent vauxhall gearbox thread is a good example of trade knowledge on certain models, maybe a feature on that sort of thing ? Or would the manufacturers be throwing wobbles

I'm being absolutely honest, been so busy I've done nothing, and to be honest don't know many who have, everyone I know in the trade is planning on going with the flow, take it as it comes

Well done for winning the award. A big pat on the back . For me, the new car reviews are not much interest to me as they are no relevance. I would love to see more articles and reviews geared towards the used car industry, for example apps that could help, reviews on new products to make our lives easier. Like valeting products, new schemes and software, new potential suppliers. Rather than reviewing so many brand new cars, maybe review cars that are coming up for 18 months or 2 years from release, so that we can read the good bits and bad bits about cars we could potentially buy in for stock. Actually that would be a great idea, perhaps including the different spec levels and the differences and then a desirability rating. Then cars we really should avoid for stock due to the amount of warranty claims associated with them etc.... ... that is my idea. Once again, congratulations with the award. James
