Edward Roots 1 Posted December 14, 2015 Good Afternoon I need to get a new key for a 59 reg fiesta (Mk7), I am based in Kettering.Does anyone know of the best company to use? and what sort of price I would be looking at (I would be classed as a retail customer.) I don't need to use the car until early next year, so I can always post the key to a company to get a replacement sorted. Any views would be appreciated. It's me 615 Posted December 15, 2015 posting the key would get you a clone and its not recommended with this carhave you spoken to your ford dealer or see who the local trade use to come to them and have a proper key made with a proper warranty and a quality keycheap keys always cause problems,,last one cost me a big headache and i lost about £145keys off the internet ready to be cut and cloned are usually made of rubbish metal that splits when being cut, this could split today tomorrow or next month as you are miles from home and ignition jams

metcars 397 Posted December 16, 2015 Try calling Manheim Northampton. They'll have contact details for trade locksmiths coming out of their ears
Edward Roots 1 Posted December 17, 2015 I've contacted a main dealer and the price isn't to scary, only £75 + Vat. So i'm going to go down that route.Luckily I can get trade prices through my work, which I didn't know. Although I don't have the key number so this will bump the price up by around £20, but it's still not the end of the world for a good quality key.
