My Gumtree's been hacked. BE CAREFUL!!

Hi All

Gumtree rang me this morning to tell me my account had been hacked.

I'm normally pretty savvy when it comes to hackers etc but this time they had me. I had an email enquiry and part of it was a p/x request with a link to their car on Gumtree. Of course, it was a phishing account but I didn't spot it. Entered my Gumtree details and thought no more of it.

It could've been a lot worse. Be careful guys!!

They are after people who use the same password for lots of accounts.

Then email, paypal, and other accounts are compromised

Yip, had our accounts hacked too about a month ago during a free trial, so have decided not to continue advertising on this platform,

FREE TRIAL !  , You lucky, lucky man .. Or maybe I'm the lucky one as they wouldn't give me a free trial , because 'they don't need' to as it sells lots of cars for lots of dealers ! ..so maybe I've had a lucky escape !

I didn't get offered a free trial either!  and haven't sold a single car from it since I signed up.
