Dave2302 387 Posted March 24, 2019 Pump it out from the filter, then what I do is put in a litre of 2 stroke oil and fill 'em to the brim with fresh diesel You replied just as I was typing Don't ask me how I know that, but needless to say Mels C Class has done 30k miles since and suffered no ill effects

peter..o 8 Posted March 25, 2019 Whats the theory behind the two stroke oil Dave? tia.
Dave2302 387 Posted March 26, 2019 (edited) It lubes the Pump and Injectors, instantly just helps in case any Petrol has got up to the Rail, i.e it will have if the Car has been started after mis fuelling. Also knocks the "edge" off any remaining Petrol in the Tank, which is very dry fuel compared to weasel You can't get the last remaining fuel out without removing the Tank, some tanks is around 5 litres or so. Like I said, it had no ill effects on Mels C Class which has covered about 30k miles since it's Petrol incident. You'll also notice the Car will run a little quieter and pull better, but don't do this all the time Edited March 26, 2019 by Dave2302
