Does anyone work on their own cars?

Mechanical or bodywork? Must admit that i sometimes twiddle spanners if it saves me money. I had to put a clutch in a Fiesta a week or so back as it owed me a lot and wouldnt carry a workshop bill. I also turn my hand to bits of bodywork which I actually quite enjoy and is almost like therapy

I've got a panoramic sunroof to change in an E70 X5 and when I questioned my workshop over how long it was going to take (how hard can it be!?) he offered me his tool set. Needless to say I declined.

I do a lot of jobs on my cars from services to electrical repairs etc. I enjoy it and it saves me some money!
