In need of an estate car

Hi all, as some of you may know from previous threads I’m a an electrician/security engineer. I’ve got a new security guy starting soon so need to purchase an estate car.....Preferably black and no older that a 2012 plate. I quite like something like a Vauxhall insignia around the 5-6K mark. I know I could just look on AT but reading the threads on here over the last year and most people on here seem to be good people. If you have something in stock let me know. I wouldn’t be to bothered about viewing it so it could be delivered etc TIA Lee

Thanks Mark. Bit lumpy on the mileage for me. I know it’s all relative to how well it’s been looked after and serviced but ideally something max of 80K.

You’re quite right TV and having spent 6 years between Gateshead and Newcastle, I could confidently advertise it to appeal further North than the Midlands.

The boot is big enough for a crate of pease pudding and the heated seats will keep you warm in the summer but I can’t guarantee it will cope with your winter.

Still to this day, I have never seen such a winter as when I was staying in Beamish - icicles hanging from first floor roof to ground floor windows. Everyone made it in to work that day - proper workers (private sector).

That's not posh David, it is to combat my OCD/Cleaning of our painted floor.

I reckon a few from here are either contemplating it or actually doing it - highly recommend.

Floor paint peels off and only looks clean for so long as you don't drive over it.

I have so many people ask me if I'm part of the Imperial Group (BCA for example) perhaps I should say yes 

People seem to struggle with "Marques." Not sure why, it was nicked from the old Top Marques Mag in the 90's - first dabble was Auto Marque Motors (I was 18 and it was a play on my name).

Only a handful of people pronounce Marques correctly, many thinking I am an outlet for Millets (they still going?) or Go Outdoors, or wedding tent hire.

Probably is a little pretentious but it remains a play on my name.

Yes up the hill to Beamish,it’s cold up there,great punters though and many are voluntary workers at the famous Beamish Open Air Museum .I used to go up the hill to Leominster ( is that near you) in the winter buying stock.Is that where the SAS are based.As I remember,bit chilly is an understatement.

It must have been a culture shock coming up here.

I love Gateshead and Newcastle - I have eaten at nearly every restaurant in the city, love the place.  Walking over the bridge from Hilton (every other week) to Piccolinos, Hana Hana and numerous others. Took a load of customers bowling (£20k night out that was) think it was called Lane 7?

Leominster is about 45 mins from me, never been to the place - notorious place though.  Brightwells classics is good though.

Yes Lane 7 previously ATS ,downtown Blenheim St which was rough and full of car pitches.My first pitch was 100 yds away.Now renamed St James Blvd with no pitches,just pubs,restaurants,clubs,hotels and a casino.Tourists flock into Newcastle at weekends,I have no idea why.

I loved the menu that the venue birmingham organiser catered for us on my cousin's wedding. Some good tasting and quality stuff.
