EPV 631 Posted August 8, 2018 Usually I can get a pretty good accurate valuation using a few sources and the customer is usually happy but I'm stumped on this one. 2012 on a 62 plate, BMW Z4 2.0 20i sDrive 68,000 miles, clean enough, Leather (not sure about Nav so I'll say no for now) AT have it at £9,500 trade, £12k retail. Car gurus at £11.5k retail Cap clean is £11,150 WBAC is £10,500 I'm thinking retail is likely £11.5 - £12k so trade should be £9.5k?
Nick M.K. 574 Posted August 8, 2018 (edited) Sounds like CAP Average is around £10700, Retail around 12K. If you can buy for £9.5K you can retail for 11500-750 and this should be on the low side on AT. Dark exterior colour with light leather the preferred combo for this. Some dealers wouldn't touch this engine. Edited August 8, 2018 by Nick M.K.
EPV 631 Posted August 8, 2018 White with black int. What’s wrong with the engine? Or why wouldn’t some go near it?

My advice would be to research thoughly then work out your retail back value, its the only true way to calculate your required ROI.
trade vet 701 Posted August 8, 2018 If you were standing in the ring at the block and it was put on sale at £8500 would you put your hand up for it.I don’t think I would and I am an impulsive bidder.

EPV 631 Posted August 8, 2018 I bid her nine grand. I won’t be increasing it.
Rory RSC 596 Posted August 9, 2018 Easy seller, buy it cheap and sell it cheap as plentiful and its high miles for a convertible as loads of ultra low milers out there. There will always be someone having a midlife crisis....
