White cars +£500

Recommended Posts

Maybe different for other areas of the country but if you have a white 1 series or white Audi TT or a3 / A4 they seem to be fetching much more money?

And silver works the complete opposite.

Not new but stating facts when buying stock, auto trader / cap / totally off the mark with white cars. But I’m assuming a white mondeo lx will be minus £500

Another reason not to rely on guides!

I think twerp was just having a joke mate, being, well, a twerp.

Guide prices don't take into account colour.

Another reason to always compare what they actually sell for and work backwards.

They don't look like they were photographed by private sellers. Were the sellers traders?

Yes both private - although bmw photography really good. The mini photo was from the dealer before he bought it, the rest of mini photos on his drive way.

The 1 series will certainly be popular.

I seem to do well on a nice 1 series, and being white as well is all good

Not my bag but good pitch cars I suspect especially one that’s white with grey/black wheels and an MSport.

Do you get these by bidding on an auction style sale or are these a fixed price? If fixed do u email them and chip them? Asking as im currently getting the odd one off ebay but via auction, some good some not so good! People seem to forget certain issues with their cars and dont mention on the ads one key is needed for ignition and one for door locks ,or the rad fan fouls the rad so they just disconnected the fan! You truly meet all people on Ebay.

You’re buying from the public mate, expect the worst and put a contingency into your max bid.

I stopped buying private almost decade ago - I know some lads make a killing but all I can remember is seeing one misdescribed heap after another. I wasted hour after hour of my life & find the block or Stealer Auction far less hassle.

My last ever private viewing was a Peugeot 307cc (that’s tells you it was ages ago). He refused me a test drive & drove swerving to avoid every lump in the road so I told him to redirect along a certain road - it sounded like every suspension bush was knackered! We then got back and I said I wanted to test the roof - he was visibly worried. First cycle ok, midway through the second cycle the roof stopped dead. I just got out, told him he was a pisstaker & got in my car.

The punters’ p/xs are bad enough - you can shove private buying where the sun don’t shine! :lol::lol:

I think the BMW will sell instantly but you’re going to live with the Mini - from my experience.
