When exactly does a car run out of MOT?

Recommended Posts

If the expiry date of an MOT is for example the 25th, is the MOT still current until midnight on that day, or does the MOT expire at midnight on the 24th?

It was my understanding that it would be current until midnight on the expiry date, so as above midnight on the 25th.

I see it as midnight 24th....when the 25th 'arrives' it is no longer valid.....I could wrong though....I'm a half full sorta guy;)

Yeah, you can read it like that. Expires on 25th could mean no longer valid on that day?

How can we go definitive?:D

Not definitive, but I'm sure you can drive it up until midnight on the expiry date.....

Question 3.

That's an interesting point about direct debit for VED being cancelled if the MOT fails?
