Rick H 1 Posted September 27, 2017 Theres a few vehicles for me that I remember the most, A few years ago I took a friends V8 Vantage Aston to London and came back in a 1998 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta F1 He was too busy with other business interest to collect the car and asked me if I was free, at the grand age of 19 it was a dream!! Always had a thing for classics.. Very good customer turned friend had a 1972 last of the chrome bumper corvette stingray convertible in red with red leather..Loved this car, perfect weekend car. Had a selection of more modern bits,911,M3, Amg etc..last year sold a new month old 4.4V8 Rangerover... this was stunning and could see why it cost as much as it did!!!. it was stunning to drive! Just get so bored so easily with cars..its crazy.
grant8064 219 Posted September 27, 2017 We took an 07 SL55 in chop recently and what an absolute beast. Probably would have been a good one to keep but the potential bills put us off so we traded it on to a German power specialist. Lovely engine and noise but I wasn't blown away by the rest of the package. Best thing...09 Subaru Outback 3.0 Petrol Auto. I know it's not anything truly special in real terms for most people but my god what a production car. The only thing I have ever really regretted parting with. Immense power, loads of traction, fantastic cabin, great spec but mostly it was so honest. Knew it's job and did it 100%. I keep hoping to get another in but they're too rare to expect it. MrC 142 Posted September 27, 2017 Mate of mine bought a 2008 997 GT3 RS the car was best part of a 6 months old and had 1500 mile on it if I recall he paid £125k. I had a morning of fun in it, the way the thing steered and went was out of this world. He still has it now, I dont think its done 5k miles and thats criminal in my book

trade vet 702 Posted September 27, 2017 Back in the Klondike days,I had to go and collect a new Ferrari Daytona from Egham. It was £10k which was big money then.So I get in this thing and of course it is rocket propelled but after 30 mins driving, the charging light is winking and it is jumping out of 2nd.(I had'nt needed to put it in any higher gear.)As I just wanted to get home which was about 270 miles,I just ignored these minor problems.I think I stopped at Leicester Forest East and when I returned to the car there was a crowd of people surrounding it.I was so embarrassed I just waited for them to clear as I wanted to tell them that the car was 'shite'.I recall it had an 8 track stereo ( remember them) under the drivers seat.Anyway got it back home without' chucking it ' and handed it over. The owner ran around in it for about 2 months and then flogged it for profit back to the dealer. This was an amazing car because in my oppinion it was 'shite' but it impressed most people. They are probably doing £1m today, but I was relieved to get home.
