I don't know anyone NOT paying well into book, you won't be buying otherwise and, empty spaces don't pay bills, be they supermarket, franchise, site owner or door stepper.
I just can't see it easing too soon.
The supply of 'out of PCP circle' price range p/x stock just isn't there...100%, totally, without doubt it wasn't rosey before C-19 and, it certainly isn't now from what little I see and poorly understand.
'Looky me' BBL vanity purchase gear, I agree is still silly eye watering, surely they can only be so many whom want a black speccy German rag top but, such is the want of many 'dealers' with fake Rolex and man bags.
Contrary to what you may be reading - headlines of enquiries/leads/website hits 110% (?) up or and such like - it's a little like the EV cars. When you ain't doin' no business, well a few calls or few more sales on FA makes for a BIG percentage difference.
I don't see them (OE's) shifting much 'new' metal as of yet, at least from what I'm being told from the 'mouths of horses...with a dog in the fight'. Seems everyday sees more main agents hitting the wall, sadly I can see a few more going?
After all the theorising, maybes and "I can't see that's", well, at the end of the day what you pay is of little matter, it's all about what you can sell them for and, the profit across them. I have been marking my stuff up strong - in comparison to late last year - and, still selling on quality with NO discounts.
I agree, I do see the economy really taking a bashing by late 2020 so fewer new car sales...flip that about though, same amount of car dealers fighting for used stock though, so prices still holding up.....even more so with pre' 2013 stuff if that's your bag.

I just knocked some up on the printer and laminated them

1m is the same as NO distance.....50cm each way....who stands closer than that unless you'll be sharing bodily fluids at some point.
.....bloody hate them 'in your face,' 'invading my personal space' types at the best of times....my last landlord was like this, I could of recognised him from his dental records.

I realised early on this was so they could pay us peanuts
the insurance companies are the same they play on fear
the bastards
this year my renewal was cheaper but I bought it just before lockdown and paid in full
so I'm still the fool
For some reason I've never understood, not declaring income to other employees is/was called a 'September Agreement'....?

two fresh lockdowns in Germany, hmmmm. And they had it way better than us - won't be long before our numbers are back up again by the looks of things
It's very difficult to compare figures, there is no bench mark, so no consistency.....sadly

There's a guy lives near me who runs a fairly grotty little bar - about twice the size of my living room. Just after lockdown started we talked about business and he was moaning to me all about his debts, which he can't pay. Leased Range Rover was something like 550/month, then he'd got couple 100k's on his house, another 100k on the business and some more on other stuff. It was around 400k plus the lease. I'm just thinking WTF?.... how can you sleep?
Of course when this goes belly-up it won't be the finance houses that lose out. The losses will be 'socialised' as in 2008 and we will all pay for it. £500bn I believe the last bail out cost us...
I've a friend I've known since it was all fields around here. Has always had huge debts, just doesn't worry him, skin of a rhino, been bankrupt twice I know of and, still people throw money at him.
As long he can make every month with a pack of fags in his back pocket he is happy.....I sometimes wish some his laissez-faire attitude would rub off on me, not much, just a touch.

From the gear I've seen going thru BCA this week, they maybe a great place to source for almost non runners and do'er'upers.....at a premium

Oddly enough, on my way to collect parts, had an X plate white Mondeo (last of) with collapsed rear springs in front of me....typical
Looked soooooo small compared to todays D segment cars

They can't be as bad as Tradex Insurance, cheap for a reason, they don't pay out.....but I can see their logic there

It's the plastic lense anti UV covering that yellows, so you need to remove that aged layer, wet n dry, G3, handful of gravel etc.
....the worst for going yellow were those MK1 Mondeos, they looked like my piss first thing Saturday morning after a heavy Friday night.
......talking of which, I can't remember the last time I saw a MK1 or MK1 facelift Mondeo, all bangered and made into baked bean cans now.

iv'e heard one of the main auctions might currently have financial wobbles, anyone else heard anything?
If it's the heavily leveraged auction house yes heard a whisper too....I hope it's wrong though or temporary. It's no secret that they are all short on stock though and it's a numbers game.
I maybe in the minority here but I don't want to see any of the auctions go pop, be they physical or not, can only effect prices one way.
