2 minutes ago, justlooking said:the OP suggests it has no VAT purely because it’s a Cat D.
Is this a new rule?
if so I’m joining Copart tomorrow and buying them all
There expensive now compared to 12 months ago for cars.
But yeah re-read it and it makes no sense

In the early stages of setting up. Id like to see what platform works the best for our stock profile and sells the most cars for the least amount of expenditure I suppose. In all fairness id probably not give them up more likely go back to a free package.

An introduction will go a long way in terms of getting assistance.
In terms of your question he isn't interested in the fact its a cat D he wants the head gasket repaired (He is using the lack of category D on invoice as leverage) seek proper legal advice but i would not be giving a penny back other than scrap value for the car.
Do you have old adverts stating category D ???

I probably sell a car a week through them on average. 2 gone this weekend nothing gone the weekend before. Its the only platform we advertise with other than Facebook. On there paid package for 6 months will sack it off in 6 months and try auto trader or ebay for the relevant period of time and then consider cost per unit vs sales and go from there.

Last bank transfer i took they had to leave and come back the next day as they couldn't get the transfer to come through there and then.

Its been discussed many times and everyone has there opinions.
We solely advertise on Facebook and car gurus and it has brought 4 sales for us this month.
Get the contact number which is a bonus it does seem to generate real leads just have to sift through the crap

October has been a decent start overall. 4 for the month but two where sticky cars that we needed gone. Fiesta gone with good margin in it and a PX shitter to a family friend first time driver yesterday.

4 minutes ago, Casper said:I agree and since going at it alone would rather give the £50 off sometimes I'll even give them £20 back for fuel the shortbread thing was in a previous job where I just did my sales thing and let the big boss man deal with incentives ..
Funny isnt it these corporate ideas of incentives.
I do like a good "well i need to put fuel in it to get back" Fuel goes in all cars to make them work ................

48 minutes ago, Casper said:Haha I'll rephrase that I'll give anything a go within reason . But on a serious note you do find customers want money off rather than free Mots servicing etc we even tried free shortbread once lol
I cant say i blame customers to be honest what would you prefer £5 shortbread or £50 off.
My incentive will always be £95 or £45 off which is closest to the next even £100. Customers will soon forget gimmicky shortbread and probably never use the free service or mot but they will remember that few quid back

13 hours ago, BHM said:I can beat that (You’ve got one itchy arsehole so I’ve got two ). The Mrs’s Honda auto, almost 3 years & added almost 30K miles, made £200 (admittedly that’s not factoring in 3 oil changes + discs & pads). The downside was I recently paid over a grand into book for her replacement.
The funny thing is she got the car because I couldn’t sell it originally even after advertising it at cost! And even stranger still is a few cars before that the same happened with her Corolla auto - originally I couldn’t sell it but a few years later there was a scrummage for it.
Cant beat a good profit over adding miles to a car. General maintenance is just good measure however i do beat you on the replacement. Won a one owner 320d for £300 great for moving shit around and running erands and returns 60mpg on a run.

Minis we always do well on them. I also made £100 on a 330d .......... After i had put 20k on it of driving round for just over 12 months

I agree completely. The quality of leads is very poor but they do work occasionally do work and decent sales come of it.

Just sold one of mine 50k 2009 down to two now.

To answer the op question has be the dreaded PSA quality engine 1.4 / 1.6 i cant walk away fast enough these days.
20 hours ago, tradex said:I was surprised by the 107/C1/Aygo too, most of the clutch issues are down to poor servicing whereby not enough freeplay in the pedal, thereby pushing their way thru the pressure plate. I've one here with 140k up it still on the original clutch and another with 42k on it's second
No german, no diesels, no auto handbrakes, no slush boxes and now life has been lot smoother since.
I've got 3 of them all less than 50k and not had a nibble on any apart from the first phone call this morning.
Good to see the clutch is cheap and easy to fix if needed

Peugeot 107. I have three of them and there all shite.
On a serious note Petrol Insignia 1.8 . Spent about £500 chasing an engine management light only for the customer to text me saying it had come back on again (Garage still haven't heard from her to book it in). Still made money on the car but only as it was a PX i paid peanuts for.
