    Depends where you live.

As I said in another post, am lucky to live in an affluent area. Not everyone is mega rich or rich.

But they have common sense and decency ie Cross the road when they see you and vice versa.

Lack of cars on the road so my new cycling venture is safe at the moment, thank God.

Not seen a cop car around here.

Went through a run down area... And cop cars are circling the area like bees.... Including in unmarked vehicles.

Are you in a decent area? If so the chavs might be bored of the ghetto and think let's try and cause havoc at yours.

If so report them. If you and your neighbours are old, report the runts. Specify you feel threatened. Get your neighbours to as well.

Believe me cops like listening to people from a decent area.. It's the whole social circle crap... Ie if they know you live in a half a million pound house... Chances are you got a good job and your kids are behaving... So they'll go after the chavs that 'they don't fit in the area'.

These fines are petty £30 here there crap. Should be £1000 deterrents. But then again the govt dont want to seem heavy handed and people dont go out for essentials in case they think they get fined. Just how alot of folk with other medical issues haven't gone to A&E for treatment and died because they thought they might get the virus.

Yet people wonder why people don't have much respect for the police.

I’m sure those people will be slapping themselves on the back, it must be s huge relief. But the chancellor has already hinted that ‘changes will be made’ when the corona dust has settled. Let’s hope the short term benefits outweigh the potential long term pain?

Long term we will all pay through the nose, well except those with Yachts and accounts overseas etc

Yeah. Many of us know Ian. He has provided his name and phone number many times.

Whilst he may perhaps look for the wind up on (most) occasions and takes some getting to know- he’s a good guy I think really  -much as he tries to make out he’s a c*** ;0)

Ling: dunno anything about you however, but don’t bite.  What are you up to know? Are you in the game

    You surprise me here

Not sure why anyone is surprised. I'm only a casual reader of this forum and even I know he spends his days checking other people's accounts and spreading warnings about HMRC/solicitors and anyone else he can think of. Definitely needs a hobby.

This is true  Netflix has helped

If any of you have an EE contract. Text Britbox to 150 and you will get 6 months of Britbox free. Even then without that its only £5.99 per month. Also don't forget Iplayer, itv hub, 4od, uktv play etc. IPlayer is brilliant and unlike the last three I mentioned has no adverts like Netflix etc

Not ideal but in this situation of me and my staff are risking our health it’s a fair deal. We know all our cars drive perfectly. If they want to try out a car first of all then they can rent one from hertz

You should not be risking your staff's health anyway. So the risk to your staff's health is worth £100. Anyway it's your decision, I will leave it there.

I really don’t see the issue, we make them fully aware of this before they test drive. I am a technician to trade and all our stock is prepared to far higher standards than the majority of other dealers. We don’t usually operate this policy but it’s just to deter time wasters and dreamers. The genuine buyers have no issue with it.

So they see it on your website and come down to your premises. They have a test drive and decide the car is not for them, they are then £100 down. Sounds fair.

You can imagine the quality of customer from cf247, coming up with a fault after a few days then going off on one as workshops are shut so hard to get parts. I hate cf247 and the majority of their council scheme scumbag punters,

On a more positive note we managed a sale today. The way we are doing it is by appointment only. In order to get an appointment you have to pay £100 (inspired by the late great ad) which is refundable if you don’t like the car aslong as you show up when your meant to.

Only the person buying the car is allowed on our premises. We simply hand them the keys and leave them to it. If they want a test drive as it can’t be accompanied they forfeit the return of their £100 whether the buy it or not and they can take it round the block aslong as they leave the keys for their car and ID on the desk.

So one sold and a decent cheap swapper for £300, will keep the wolves away from the door aslong as we can still manage one every fortnight or so.

If they decide not to buy it they cannot have their £100 back?

    Maybe I'm misunderstanding that.

You can't compare obesity and smoking they are lifestyle choices. Plus on TV/media etc  always banging on about obesity and the underlying health probkems. Have you not seen the photos on cigarette packets.

And minimum of 50% would have died anyway? Where did you get those figures from.... That statement is just a disregard for life, heartless.

    Some people are best ignored.

Quite simple, if you are in contact with the public then you are at risk, that is us, end of.....................

Be nice to see on here instead of bickering, about how you are actually dealing with it, are you doing test drives with the unknown ? i believe lawgistics have issued a form that the customer signs before test drive stating they have not got coronavirus [ joke].

what steps are you taking to keep your business afloat ? [read back and you will see mine].

millions and millions will have to stay at home soon ? maybe you have made no plans, and cannot get out of your house because you cannot find the front door because its hidden by toilet rolls ?

Cancer and Sepsis kill hundreds of thousands of people a year in this country.

    Flu kills tens of thousands.

The Corona virus has killed 10 in 2 months.

    Can you understand this?

I'm not sure I can explain it any simpler for you.

Most people will catch it and not know.

616,000 people died in this country in 2018.

If you are that worried, nail your doors and windows shut and sit it out.

The good thing about this is that it will cut down on Flu cases in the future, because people will stop sneezing into their hands and spreading germs about.

    Just wondering, do you smoke?

    No I don't smoke.

I don't think it will be the end of the world or that millions will die, neither do I think it's just something to be complacent about. Yes the vast majority will survive it and some will never know they has it. But plenty will die such as the elderly and those who already have medical conditions. Italy are now in the position of not putting the elderly on ventilators as they don't have long left to live anyway, still never mind.

    Did I say that?

    It's not the flu.

    The flu kills more people.

If you want to keep whining on about it, that's up to you.

As I have previously stated, about 1,700 people die every day in this country.

Are you concerned about Sepsis or cancer?

What's really scary is that people think like you. Since when can cancer or sepsis be transmitted from person to person?

    Do you live in Italy?

Must be a long commute every day if you sell cars in the UK.

Joe Rogan did a very good interview with someone who knew what he was talking about.

He obviously wasn't a Car Dealer.

A few good points he made were if you are old and you smoke, it's game over.

Also it doesn't seem to affect children hardly at all.

I'm in Lanzarote at the moment. The majority of the people in the hotel are knocking on a bit, so many of them coughing and sneezing into their hands and then carrying on with the all inclusive food.

    Everything is normal here.

No but I can read. Don't worry though it's just the flu.
