  1. If every car dealer who advertises on AT boycotts the price indicators, think AT will get the message that price indicators are not wanted.  Or at least get rid of the high price which I have done so. Go into stock management and take out the year of registration, we have sold cars with no price indicators on them.

It is December, thought it was going to be dire this month but I am very pleased that we have sold 7 this month so far. (Don't want to knock it)

The email came to me on on 1st of October. The offer starts on the 29th to the 24th Jan.

I've been through my emails can not find any emails regarding this. Will have to send them an email tomorrow. My package has been the same for years.

  5. The last price brigade were out this weekend,

3 different messers on a Crossfire, up for £3995. Punter how much will you take for it? Me : What's your offer? Punter: NO Reply.

1 messer on a Mondeo Titanium estate, up for £4995. Same questions. Got a reply back from this one £4200. My reply: wish you would of that question when you called as I would of told you not to come down.

Some of these people are travelling upto 2 hours. Don't know what they get out of it . The only good thing come out of it none of them went out on test drives.

  6. Received an email from AT today with a change of price indicators - fair price or high price. Do you guys think it will be better for us dealers who are selling quality cars and competing with cars that are below par condition?

The low, great, good price will be history I think this will replace it.

  7. I never used buy any UKGC car as too risky. But say in the last 6 months I have bought a few, had to do a clutch on the one but generally been lucky/ok. I buy things like small automatics or low owner cars. The car must have a good story to tell for itself i.e. low miles, fsh,  1 or 2 owner, 2 keys etc. I think some of the cars I've bought is have either been from someone's family who have passed away or some oap who has stopped driving. Nut they don't come much cheaper than the main dealer part exs.

Think they only drive cars under x years old and transport cars over that age. I cannot remember the exact age.

If I remember right they will drive the car if it's under 10 years old or older than 10 years you have to sign a form if the car breaks down on the way down to you it's your responsibility to get it recovered. They also look at the condition of the car I.e tyres etc.

  9. I use them all the time, i normally buy 5 to 10 units at a time, about 30 miles they charge us £40 for 5 to 7 units and £35 for 8 or more. (Transported) Odd occasion buy online a single car about 80 to 100 miles that's about £100 driven.

....... find its easier to deal with one company for the purchase and delivery. You might save a few quid by going through Movex but it's more work for you. You could be doing something else  instead.

  10. Is anyone else who is on the free package with Cargurus getting alot of emails. I advertise on AT, Ebay and Gumtree aswell nothing at all from them but Cargurus getting bombarded with emails. Are they upto their old tricks again.

Its down to luck some are helpful some aren't .

Yes, also helps if you use them regularly. But Ford have had a restructure on parts department as it's now called Parts Plus and my Ford parts delivery depot has moved from the one I usually use.
