  1. Going to phone them up again tomorrow, see if they will be more lenient on us or we will default and I will withdraw from the facility and let them take the all the cars back. We are still getting enquiries from customers, telling them we are in lock down so can't sell them cars. BCA know what's going on unless they are on a different planet.

That really sucks such a huge company with no info being fed to the front line staff no excuse for it, I would hold out for common sense it makes no sense what so ever for them to come and collect cars they would have trucks out all over the country the cost would be crazy instead of just coming up with a decent deal to help dealers out.

I think it will be a case of watch this space, do you have an account manager maybe try them instead.

Hope it works out for you.

Yes I do have an account manager have been speaking to him directly, he's been waiting to hear from the people above him. We are all in limbo.

That’s very poor of them i remember reading there standard t&c’s Which allow for a similar extension so basically they have offered there customers nothing.

surprised me that has thought they would have done more, have they announced this or just word and mouth?

Called them yesterday, that's all they offered which is pants. Some young lad on the end of the phone, never spoke to him before, asked for management, no one available. Told him we are not going to be able pay you'll have to come and take the cars away. He couldn't answer anything really because he hasn't been told anything else.

  4. Anyone have a stocking loan with BCA, a rich cash company like BCA not doing anything for its customers. How can one pay off for a vehicle when they can't sell it due to lockdown.

BCA Profiteering from the lockdown - only thing they are offering an extension for 28 days when car comes 120 days on the scheme, they want to charge £25 per vehicle also the interest on these vehicles may increase to double.

The few companies I know of are freezing/suspended accounts to help their customers

    Net Gear

    Top Gear

    Close brothers

    Auto trader

    Ebay motors group

    Car Gurus

  5. They should go free like all of them or suspend until we are back to normal again. I call EMG today they were happy to move March bill to End of April Free. AA cars also moved March bill to end of April and April and May has been suspended. I will be talking to both of them again towards end of April if I need to. Will call CG tomorrow to do the same. Don't mind if they suspend advertising as we can't open and sell anything.

How much is it to be part of it?

Is it a one size fits all fee or do they tailor the monthly/annual charge on a per car or dealer size basis?

    £325 + vat for 50 car package

    £350 + vat for 60 car package

    £375 + vat for 70 car package

These prices are for the dealer promise package, they do another one call AA Approved which is more money.

  7. Thank you for the feed back. I've signed up, going to try it because of the AA branding. We already have very good reviews on AT and Google. Customers do say that they came here because of the reviews. Telling myself can't do any harm although it is another expense. Time will tell.

  8. Bought a VW Golf 61 reg, car was last mot'd by VAG main dealer had some advisories;

    Child seat fitted nsr.

    Child seat fitted osr

    Nsr door child lock activated

    Osr door child lock activated

I'm baffled with some advisories on mots, can it get any worse? Some mot testers need their brains testing or is it another money making method, I mean the garage probably charged half an hour labour to deactivate child locks.

  9. Was talking to AT today, they are going to move the bargain buys limit from 1495 to 2000 from April. Think that's the least they can do as bargain buy ads cost a fraction of the price of vehicles advertised above the bargain buys limit. Think AT are trying to do something to make AT advertising a better value.

I bought 5 yesterday, but it was still amazingly expensive. Not sure what these people are selling these cars for. But they can’t be making much money.

Where did you buy from, was it Bedford? I managed to buy just 3 from Bedford on Monday, usually buy upto 10. Some of the stuff was making retail.

  11. Happy New Year To All.

Has AT caught on with getting rid of price indicators when you take the date of first registration out? I have a car which is about £600 above good price, I have taken the date of first reg out before and it worked, but now it don't seem to work, won't let you save the ad without the date. Anyone else had this?
