    So based on the evidence motors are partners with judge service who share the same address as trusted dealers who are in partnership with AT and share the same address as perrys. Motors and AT combined in the same venture surely not. So I called judge service and they confirmed that judge service and trusted dealers are the essentially the same company. So I called trusted dealers and asked who their parent company is? was it perrys? I was told that they didn't have a one and they were an independent company, so I asked if that was the case then why was the ltd company registered address the same as perrys head office at which point I could sense the nervousness in her voice and was informed that she was busy and had to go. SO what's all this about transparency and trust based on the evidence it seems like it maybe just another scheme concocted by the big boys trying to get bigger and squeeze out all of us little boys.

    At 10.30 this morning I found a major security issue with AT's website which would of been gold to any hacker as it exposed the code for their website if this had of fallen into a hackers hands they could of brought the website down and cost them a lot of money. But me being the decent human being that I am I decided to tell them about it (even though they treat us like they do and I've no time for them) all that I asked for was a public thanks on this thread, still waiting for it. if I'd of found the same sort of issue with paypal I'd be £40000 richer now, If any of you want me and my web developer to test your website's free of charge for any such threats we will do it for you just message me your website url. Thanks for having my back GG if we all stick together we can make a real big impact.

    ​Me either. But it's irrelevant anyway, as it isn't for independent dealers - only 'approved' dealers, whatever they might be. The site's rubbish anyway, painfully slow and only a handful of dealer groups advertising on there anyway with a useless search mechanism. However, it does prove that Auto Trader have very little interest in smaller independent garages.

    it is free and will continue to be free, the RAC and RAC Cars will not be charging for the service, to make it work then the dealers also have to play a part and advertise their stock for free... the numbers will grow, the marketing will kick in and the RAC Members and the general public will start using a site where brand is a major factor and supporting the dealer and the consumer work

    It's a shame that to receive the correct customer service, you have to resort to such measures. No consumer classified platform, has a business without the support from the dealer network.............they are the clients!!!!

    Just a side note but along the same lines of advertising.. We've just put in a cancellation request with Motors as a lot more of our business is coming from other means and magically our account manager has managed to half our monthly invoice and is calling us 3 times a day to discuss retaining us.. A lot more than we got with AT!

    Agree, consumers/buyers receive the choice and where they search in ever increasing. There are many examples of successful businesses that don't rely on ONE consumer platform; however, as challengers have demonstrated - it's a case of getting a return on investment (cost and time). Any new challengers to the market, give both the sellers (dealers) and buyers 'choice' - which is always a good thing and not forgetting, it keeps everyone on their toes........

    Guys, I think we are all missing the point a little here! IT IS FREE! I agree that most if not all of us ( if we do advertise on AT) will get better results from advertising on Autotrader, but look at your end of month invoice from them (I don't get one) and check it against the RAC invoice you get! Get it now? If all car dealers advertise on RAC free and the public start to understand the benefits of only having one website to look through to find there next car knowing that ALL the cars are on there, THEY WILL START USING IT, cause guess what the general public have as much loyalty to AT as AT have to car dealers! IMHO

    I always ask them how good they are at solitaire, if the answer is yes then you know when they're left alone that's all they'll be doing on the computer whilst you're out instead of making the pitch look nice.

    Interviewing can be made more complicated than it needs to be. In reality all you need to know are three things: Will the candidate be able to do the job, will they enjoy it (i.e do they want to do it) and most importantly, will they fit in with the culture of your organisation. A positive answer to all three and you have a winner.
