any good car seat repair company near wolverhampton?

Just bought a fiat 500 multijet sport . quite a nice thing but the drivers seat bolster is torn.I just wondered if anyone knew of a good seat smart repair company near Wolverhampton. 

As it is perforated leather i dont hold out much hope of someone being able to fix it, but it seems a better first step than just replacing the complete seat. Does anyone know someone?

That needs trimming, it’s well beyond a smart repair. 

Check all the breakers as it will be a lot easier to find a seat than a trimmer these days I reckon

did think that ,can get a seat for around a ton, just wondered if someone could work their magic on it.

My trimmer wants £180 for a section, bolster etc, to be replaced. A ton for a new seat is a no brainer.

thats not cheap, might look into seat repair training!

wish it was just fabric seat, got a kit for that which has come in handy a couple of times. Leather is much trickier though

I had an Allroad last year with a cloth interior that had been chewed / destroyed by a dog. It had no bids at the auction for weeks, I bought it well under bottom book, bought a new leather interior off eBay for £300.... it sold straight away for a very healthy profit.

You need to find a new trimmer because that is dear. I have an excellent old school type trimmer who is based near me in Kent who does seat bolsters for a lot less than that

Please share his name!

I rarely use said trimmer because I don’t buy stuff that needs that sort of work. It takes up far too much time getting the car to him, leaving it there, going back etc.

Bob Turner ( RJ Turner) he works from a unit literally a stones throw from BCA Paddock Wood but I believe he does quite a bit for Beadles in Sidcup and he is always up and down collecting stuff from them. His work is top notch and he usually turns stuff around pretty quickly.

Most decent trimmers will be able to repair perforated leather etc. I had a X300 Jaguar XJR with cream perforated leather but with worn side bolster, needed building up too, trimmer did a great job.

 

hopefully the Trim Tec guy recommended will be able to sort it, its always nice to have a few good specialists who can sort out issues like these.

Just thought I would post an udpate on this as I have now had the Seat repaired. Joe at Trim Tec is a real nice old school guy and has done a great job. Dropped off the seat on Tuesday and just picked it up. The leather is perforated and has a slight grain to it compared to the original, but this was pointed out to me by Joe before he started and he cut a sample of leather off a roll so i could compare it. So its not a perfect match but looks so much better than it did. And the price? just £50. To trim a seat for that seems a cracking price for me and in future if i see something with a rip on a seat now, it wont put me off from making a bid on it. can thoroughly recommend him. Thanks for the heads up from Blenheim car sales.
