jamslug 91 Posted April 17, 2015 I am in a situation where I don't want to leave the garage as the other manager is on holiday for two weeks and I am worried 7 mechanics will run riot. .... BUT I NEED STOCK and I need it urgently. So the question is do professional auction buyers exist and if so are they a good idea and who are the best ones? I would basically want to say; these are the cars, those are the prices I will pay, deduct for any damage. Help thanks .
metcars 397 Posted April 19, 2015 Yes. But in my experience these 'trade buyers' only buy for their selected 'clique' of retailers. These guys buy vast quantities of vehicles and spend telephone numbers. But, at a more realistic level most motor traders offer 'the full auction experience' for any willing to pay the fee. I have some mates who are earning a few extra quid handholding private punters through the buying process!
James Baggott 227 Posted April 20, 2015 Surely this is what the online auctions are for?
jamslug 91 Posted April 20, 2015 Yes James, but I like to hear the car as it drives through the hall. I can't do that online, but I pay an extra £40 anyway.
