Audi A4 mechatronic issues

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever bothered fixing one of these or is the cost prohibitive? It's just starting to shudder under load

What year, engine / gearbox, mileage and did you mean to say Multitronic rather than Mechatronic?

If you really meant Mechatronic how was this diagnosed as the shudder is more likely to be a clutch pack?

If it is indeed the "Mechatronic" (jeez I hate that Americanism), read Electronic Valve Block, get a quote from a decent Auto Box Specialist.

A used one can be fitted and like I said, (IF it is Mechatronic), then it won't be horrendous, all depends on how much retail money you could make on a 2008 Audi, vs the block ;)

Mechatronic unit refurbed is only £290ish from ACTronics and 1.5 hours labour to replace.

DSG clutch pack is £350 from TPS and 2-3 hours labour from memory.

Spot on, but yeah, a lot of Auto box guys will take the p!ss, ;)

I'd do the VB job for a trader at £600 including Oil and Filter, depending of course what I found inside it when I opened it up ;)
