BlueNews 0 Posted May 2, 2017 Ok I a have done the search through the normal channels, looking to start up on a part time trade ( I'm not sure the insurance is any different as the cover is the same) Any how looking for a first policy, have a full bonus to shift across, no penaltys.. 40+ years old with one 40+ named driver. would be looking to have a couple of personal on there,(maybe the single item limits are low on some though) as well as cars traded. I see a few names, and most say go through a decent broker, I see the name Covea comes up a bit, a few have said they use LV, through a broker...what broker though? As I don't think they all use whole of market. Thank you all.
metcars 397 Posted May 2, 2017 I didn't think 'part time' trading was possible?
BlueNews 0 Posted May 2, 2017 Thank you, I don't think it's called part time but some may have another occupation. Anyhow can you, anyone help out with above, especially the LV broker. kind regards, Looking around there is a lot of part time policy's , http://www.think-ins.co.uk/part_time_motor_trade_insurance.php just asking around, as there seems a lot of knowledge on here. metcars 397 Posted May 2, 2017 I tend to 'not' click on links like this. I'm probably overly cautious but it all seems a bit 'spammy'

rspminilover 0 Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) Hi I’m new here so I hope you don’t mind me pitching in. One thing I do know is that it is so important to have the right level of cover for your business, so, I agree it is probably best to speak to a specialist broker for your insurance. They are usually quite helpful and independent. I found this page useful for learning about insurance when we were setting up: http://www.motor-trade-insurances.co.uk/Motor-Trade-Insurance-Frequently-Asked-Questions.html and that has a few mentions of part time on. Good luck! Edited May 8, 2017 by rspminilover
Landroverguy 0 Posted May 18, 2017 Got mine through traders-insurance.com. Was with Tradex but got too expensive http://www.traders-insurance.com/part-time-traders-insurance/ Wanted an online quote but struggled to fine a decent one so went through these guys (motor trader brokers rang me back). Hope this helps!
