Andy Entwistle 96 Posted October 19, 2013 Had the obligatory few Friday night beers with my assorted collection of friends from around the trade last night. Everyone saying how quiet the last 2 weeks have been, From independent service centres to the franchised dealers, it seems that the service side of the business has been deathly quiet in and around the Berkshire area, with some large franchises able to accept cars on the same day. jimreidvehicle 255 Posted October 19, 2013 Yes, Andy much quieter up here in Aberdeenshire, the last two weeks has seen a downturn in business both service and sales, however still far from being our worst month! James Baggott 227 Posted October 19, 2013 There's talk that there was a huge push on pre reg end of September and many dealers chasing sales for Q3 targets could have seen their lead bank used up! Is it a seasonal thing. There's talk if Christmas around the corner and some consumers may be taking stock and thinking about cash flow as the pricey time of year comes around. Also, with regards to servicing, September is always really busy in line with registrations three years ago requiring their first MoT.
