BCA Bristol - very unhelpful staff

Recommended Posts

i collected an EV vehicle from BCA Bristol recently and it had only 9 miles of charge range, the nearest charger was about 7 miles away, which would leave me with 2 miles of range remaining, i asked the staff at Bristol if they could simply plug it in for 30 minutes just to give me a few extra miles, but they refused unless i paid them £30 !! absolutely pathetic rip-off, and very unhelpful staff at Bristol, BCA is definitely getting worse

Outrageous ! When you consider today’s extortionate buyers service charge fees and is EV charging mentioned in their T and C’s similar to storage fees.We all have stories about aborted collections even when you have travelled hundreds of miles but that is a good one. You have got to complain.I would have paid the £30 because I think there might be grounds to get it refunded and a bit more..I would then be politely emailing the manager for a legal explanation and to waste his time. Is BCA Bristol licensed to sell electricity or are they a registered CPO ( charging point operator ) in which case they can sell electricity without a licence but I think there maybe a maximum price, were they illegally profiteering etc. Also did you pay an EV assured fee and who was the seller/ vendor .Was it a UKCG vehicle.( their own car ).I live in the past of course,in the old days and with all auctions if you had a genuine grievance ,if you complained politely you often might get a quick knock in return !
