steve1958 0 Posted October 24 i recently bid on a Tesla described as a Tesla Model LR AWD, however on collection it turned out to be a Standard Range non awd, (verified by Tesla and the vin number, it appears the previous owner had recently changed the v5c details with DVLA and badged it to look like a dual motor Long Range, the vendor is a Mercedes main dealer, I've raised a claim with bca assured but wondered if anyone has come across this sort of thing before, I'm concerned that bca will try to get out of it. trade vet 701 Posted October 25 Your contract is with the vendor and BCA acted as agents for the Merc dealer who are the vendor. You shouldn’t have a problem but unless things have changed,BCA policy will be to try and give you the runaround. If that happens, what I used to do was to put BCA on notice that you intend to take legal action against the vendor. They usually caved in after that but don’t forget to charge for your costs. Keep us informed.
