    Had some Gypo's come in 15 or so years back  in a 3 litre omega , wanted to chop it in cause they was doing beer runs to France and been tugged in it coming back through customs and couldn't use it no more cause its card was marked so to speak ....dealt with em, can't even remember what I sold em , few days later another lot came in looking for a big motor , you guessed it to do beer runs to France , I've got just the car lads , don't know how I kept a straight face selling it to em .

    I’ve  spoken with ACE today and explained the situation and they agree this neglect from the customer isn’t acceptable. My plan is to have the car diagnosed by Volkswagen and then have ACE come out and carry out their independent report then assess the situation from there. Part of me is thinking to bite the bullet and accept the loss (potentially 3-6k) or fight it...

    If he was told not to drive it and ignored this and done 200 miles plus , then he'd be on his own .

    and as for the brake pads , he knew they was a bit low due to pdi , again his choice , he wan wanted money off .

    Notice a lot of dealers on DA are adding a charge for using a debit card , wanting you to pay by transfer so they’ve got your money before you collect .

    Didn’t think you could do this now or is it different for business to business?

    ive read on a few listings business or personal debit card will be charged .

    Glad it was all ok for you on the end , you said he had his phone on loudspeaker and you could hear the conversation with bank , could of been any one on the other end of phone , that's how they suck you in .
