Instructions are: apply with damp cloth, leave to dry to a haze. Buff off.

So do one panel at a time?

You dont have to do it panel by panel but the longer you leave it on the more you will have to dig it off. I tend to do side/side/bonnet&boot/roof when I'm applying a wax.

Any Wax like Collinite/Fuso/Dodo Juice etc is a final coating. You would want to make sure the car is well polished before you apply a wax. It will seal in any tar or imperfections if it hasnt been properly cleaned first.

  2. The absolute best all in one polish (ie cleans, removes light marks and gives a wax finish) is Auto Finesse Tripple.

I like detailing cars when I have time and I have a garage full of pretty much everything, I guarantee you Tripple will do the job for you.

If you are into a nice wax to finish off a detailed car then Bilt Hamber double speed lasts for a long time.

Far more detail. And it checks if a car's ever been salvage but unrecorded.

How much is it per check ? I just went to the site and remembered I have an account but I currently dont have any funds in credit.

WE use DA a lot and probably one off the biggest buyers with them, but we still got hit with the new £100 a month after they shut use down for a day and half.

dealers wanted highest prices than cap clean yet AT is pushing to use portal for pricing based on there data doesn't seem to be working well. even the DA guys laugh when they read out some reserves.

AS for gettting through to DA these days it's slightly better yet they can't alter important info you need like old emails being used :-(

Have you actually had a £100 a month charge ?

I have spoke to them on the phone and have email confirmation. Its £199 plus Vat yearly charge, minus any rebate I have from my current subscription.

Its worth that to me but not £1200. I used to buy 5-6 a month off them, new site is hard to navigate and theres no bargains so far but I will persevere.

  5. Welcome to the car trade. Three months is not that unusual, we all have the odd bit of stock thats had a birthday, sometimes with no good reason.

Low spec and red is going to be hard work. but it is cheap. Gumtree is a waste of time unless you like exchanging emails with the unwell.

Your best shot is to get it rephotographed and make it look a bit more professional. Good camera, lots of angles etc.

The ad looks like a private sale, so if you are serious about thinking you are a trader you will have to offer part ex and a basic warranty to attract some views.

    From when?

Anyone know how to cancel? It’s not clear on the site

You'll be getting charged at the end of the month as far as I can see, so if you want to cancel youre better off giving them a call.

If you have any further questions regarding your subscription, please contact 0330 128 1250 and select option 2.

Can anyone confirm the deal with DA. I have 6 months left on my subs with the "old" DA and now Autotrader say I have to pay them a new monthly sub to stay listed and access the site.  What are others experiencing. The new site is pants in my opinion. Thanks.

Did you not get an email off them ? this is the table they sent out

  8. Anytime that I've had finance issues with BCA they have made the point that they only sell on behalf of the vendor and all information regarding the vehicle is provided by the vendor. Basically you are better off screaming direct at whoever sold the car if you want to get it sorted.

  9. In my experience the more you engage, exchange emails and text etc, the more you encourage them.

I wouldn't tell him to f-off or go see a solicitor, you just need to be clear from the start. "Sorry you are having buyers remorse but as we discussed it was a trade sale of a car for repairs which you inspected and accepted as seen, kind regards"

After that I would ignore. You sold the car with a correct description and some dude thats only spending 2K on a car is not going legal.

  10. I eventually got on ok. Its definitely a lot different and first impressions are not great but I'll give them a week to bed in.

If it helps anyone else your Autotrader portal email address has to be the same as your registered dealer auction address, otherwise you wont get access to the "Sourcing" part which is in effect Dealer Auction.

I was able to log in on Chrome but every car I clicked I got a 404 error. After a bit of testing I can only get it to run successfully on Explorer.
