  1. South Wales. The website still works for me apart from the live chat has disappeared so can't contact them and they've now stopped replying to my emails I'm far from greedy
  2. Oh wow another one who lacks compassion and empathy! Didn't go to watchdog mate, went straight to the police who have actually heard of them but have done nothing about it!
  3. I'd like to find someone who has dealt with them and actually got their money back, so if anyone knows anyone let me know
  4. It was my money, my grandad was helping me look for a car. I'm a criminology and criminal justice student, we havent covered cyber crime to its full extent yet! I work in the evenings. Unfortunately I crashed my car so it was written off and I wanted to replace it with the same make and model. I'm not a troll, I've never even been on a forum before. I just want to warn other people of this scam, is that wrong of me? The website? My grandad saw it as a Facebook ad The "company" have emailed me again saying I'd be refunded within an hour, they've got 30 mins left lol The car in the advert does exist, it belongs to someone as I've already been to the police who checked rhe vehicle reg and my bank. The bank said their account would've been blocked so they would have to refund me from another account. I know this is a delaying tactic but I'm trying everything to get my money back as like I said I'm a student so I have no money as this was a cat that was going to get me back into work I've just had an email from them saying I'm on their blacklist, when I only asked for a phone number and when my refund would be in my account

  7. Yes I know, that's why I'm getting the word out there in this forum. I'm also in contacted with the ladies son in law, hopefully we can both get our money back I just wish I could find out who the car belongs to just to warn them it's up "for sale" There was no greed involved, I was just looking for a like for like car after mine was written off in a crash. I wanted another car so I could go back to work. Me and my grandad thought we had done all our research but forgive us for missing some things! It's a shitty situation and can happen to even the smartest person!

  9. It was to a UK bank account, unfortunately I fell for it! Lesson learned! They contacted me today about shipping and I told them to cancel and refund me and they said their "financial department" will do it tomorrow. I feel like they know people are on to them, my bank said their account would be blocked because I've reported them for fraud so even if they did go to refund me it would have to be from another account I hope no dealers fall for this scam as it'll be a lot worse for them spending thousands on multiple cars at a time!
  10. I'm with Halifax, I've received another email from the "company" that I will be refunded tomorrow but that's very unlikely. They didn't seem to know anything at my bank and another lady transferred to a different bank. It's okay lol Yeah I know I'm just hoping the bank can sort it because that was the last money I had! Mind you the bank made me feel like i was in the wrong when those con artists are walking around with my money in their pockets! Bloody crooks! I'm glad I've been able to shed some light on the "company" for everyone though, so nobody else gets scammed!

  12. Sorry, I'm just really frustrated with the all thing right now so I'm a bit snappy! I've just received another email from them, saying the shipping procedure has been started. I've told them not to bothered as I've changed my mind but I doubt that'll do anything
  13. There's no need to patronise, this can happen to anyone no matter how educated they are. Like I said me and my grandad spent a lot of time actually looking up the company, reverse imaging the picture on the advert etc But if you must know I'm studying criminology and criminal justice with psychology. I've done modules on cyber crime and nothing like this came up. The email address and website were not suspicious or what I've been told to look out for. Also no warning message came when transferring money so as far as I was aware this was all above board! So please just have some compassion for the people sucked in by this, thanks! Also what you are doing is victim shaming, like I said some compassion wouldn't go a miss
