This has got to be wind up?

Sorry, mate. Forgive me if I am wrong. But if you see everything is winding up. Then you are living in your windup world. If you see everything true, you are living in your true world.

It doesn't matter if you believe it or not. I just trying to share my stories. Because of this forum, all the friends here, are all real and true.

    Thank you very very much!

The secret life of Lucas Mitty..... :D

Can't say secret. But I do have a little detail not told in the previous threads. This pitch I am training is the pitch I am taking over. So, I am being trained on my own pitch!

I never know the old gentleman before last Saturday. I just know the sublandlord, and talk to the sublandlord directly. Until last Saturday I went there to see the pitch, the old gentlemen were there and he came to me. He came to me and learn that I am the next new guy, and he found out I am totally brand new to the car trade, he is so worried about me. Then he offers me free training before he goes. He is trying to pass all his knowledge and relationship to me!! Then, today, he even helps me to renegotiate the terms with the landlord! The rent 5K less, lease now become 1 year rolling and 3 months deposit because of his help today! Right after the lease deal made. He started to bleed a lot from his mouth and nose just in front of me. I saw him in such a bloody health situation! I went to the hospital, his hands, face and chest are all boods. When he see me, he still asking how I feel the business today, am I happy with the deal!?. What a bloody cars business!! Really bloody!! Thank GOD. He is better now!!

I think Lucas going there to see a brief snapshot of how it works is a good idea, but taking his own cars? I dunno. He hasn’t got many so might be OK short term.

You’re right about the mess from the car wash. It will be a pain, but he’s not planning on moving on there permanently (well, not as we speak, but it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the next thread!)

You need to tell your insurance company Lucas if you’re putting cars there. Even temporarily.  Just imagine if they got nicked overnight and you weren’t covered. Or some idiot drove into one.

Understood. The cars not there yet. I just go there by myself to chat, there really nothing need my hands! The gentlemen just introduce his coworker and friends to me.

By the way, my roadside pitch will opens on 1st Feb, the deal made with the landlord today. I got a great deal I think. Very lucky!! :)

I have to prepare for my pitch ground opening! :D

A lot stories to tell you guys later!

What happens when the car you sold from his pitch comes back for warranty work or failure.? Customer will go back to the pitch and expect things to get sorted.

Do you sort it out or have you an arrangement with him for this happening?

We have not even though about this. He just simply invited me to work with him for two weeks, and he suggested I could bring my cars and try to sell them on the pitch. No need to think too much. I first met him on Saturday afternoon, and we reached this appointment in just 15 minutes.

Take it easy. Like Bob Dylan song said: Don't think twice, it's all right! :)

I am heading to the pitch now.

2 weeks is no time at all in this game, its certainly not long enough to learn anything, and I feel for both of your sakes you need more than a gentlemans agreement, what happens if you sell a nice Jag and in 3 weeks after you have gone it goes bang? or what happens if the bailiffs turn up and clamp all your cars because the nice old man is owing lots of money?

Thanks mate. Too many if. A life full of uncertain. Don't think twice, it's all right!

Don’t forget my offer Lucas :)

Thank you mark. Your offer is the best fair offer.

Good stuff. Sometimes you have to go with your gut. I feel you’ll need much longer than two weeks, as you may not see hardly any (or any) punters.

You seem honourable Lucas, so I’m sure you’ll at least offer to give him a drink-especially if you sell a car.

    Keep us posted!

Thank you! I will bring some good drinks.

    Break? Do you mean take?

    Sorry. Bring, not break.

What’s in it for him? Who gets the money when a customer buys when you’re not there? Be careful. Maybe he’s just a nice bloke. You’ve only got to be lucky once.

(What do you mean ‘break cars’?)

Sorry. Input mistake. Bring, not break.

He just offers me to park the cars in his pitch, and I have to sell them by myself. Because his cars are under 5K price point. Mine are over 5K. I will keep my keys and customer pay me directly if any sold. There will be no sell if I am not there. So, basically, it is a chance to work together with an old school trader for two weeks to get the feeling to work in a roadside pitch.

  7. Understood.

There is one more thing that pitch attracts me. It combined with a hand car wash which owns by the sublandlord. We will share one building, he uses the main house, I will use the office. There are approximately 100-150 cars come to the car wash daily. The customer just waiting in or in front of the office. I am thinking that could be the potential buyer or seller.

I have to visit the site tomorrow to get more feeling!

  8. What an interesting world! The roadside pitch sublandlord offers me 6 years lease with 3 years breaks clause, 3 months deposit only this time. Because I told him I got the unit deal, so today he changes his mind and gives me this offer. I have to give an answer next Monday.

That will be a struggling weekend! :unsure::unsure:

You haven't invested 200 grand mate.  You've bought two Jags and a Mini plus signed yourself up for a workshop.  Plus spent a few hundred on a a couple of Autoraper adverts yes?

Are all your cars now advertised?

You are right! Three of them are advertised from two days ago. And another one on hold. And looking for pick up one more today.

For Gawds sake , settle down and sell some cars my friend  before you do anything else , Business is ABOUT SELLING not talking about it :o. Any fool can talk about it .

You haven't found the retail skills  to your prospective customer or a sales routine when in front of customer , test drive courses ,and what to say , HOW to CLOSE a DEAL  , your niche car types , Phone  manner , doubtful your up to speed with the paper work of what to do regarding invoices , valuing px cars , Then you have to keep the flow going .

Will take weeks at best possibly months to get it all in place and EVERY customer will be different , Remember the golden rule

    PROFIT is the key word

Thank you so much!  Will do, everything will be all right (I hope) even with a little mistake on the way.

Wouldn’t be so concerned then. Use that ltd company to pay the rent and use another to buy cars. That way if you need to move sites you can.... well, you can fill in the blanks ;)

Thank you! This is a brilliant idea!
