Just spotted this poll by AM 

What is your dealership's average used car days in stock before retail or decide to trade? 

• 1 to 14 days = 15.9%
• 15 to 30 days = 4.5%
• 31 to 45 days = 13.6%
• 46 to 60 days = 29.5%
• 61 to 75 days = 15.9%
• 76 to 90 days = 6.8%
• 90+ days = 13.6%

 

Any Thoughts ?

Think you are right Umesh , 13.6% 90 days average!!!!! mmmm! me thinks on that average they won't be in business long!

I have an average of 65-75 for my customers. Generally midlands and North Wales area mostly independent.

Hi. I work at Glass's and using our Live Retail Pricing data these are the average days to sell (from when a car is first advertised online to the date the advert is removed) from the last 13 months:

Jan 2015               49.6

Feb 2015              46.3

Average days to sell: 42 days

This is just 'days spent actively trying to sell a car', which might be why the days to sell are fewer than the AM poll. That or dealers are underestimating themselves!

We can break this down by location - if people would be interested to see this we can get something done?
