Photos turning from jpeg to winmail.dat ???

Sometimes I email a jpeg picture from my desktop to myself so that I get a copy on my iPhone... all of a sudden WTF these pictures are appearing on my iPhone as a winmail.dat instead of a jpeg and I cannot open it ??? It’s driving me mad...

How has this happened, why’s it happened and how do I stop it from happening? Cheers for your help.

Outlook, it’s only recently started happening

Probably some app on your iPhone

Log into outlook via web browser on your phone and then download. See if it Thats different

Your outlook has updated itself automatically and added some level of file compression or encryption. Have a very good look at the outlook settings for attachments, you might be able to select the file type .jpg or keep original file type so it doesn’t change. 

Because I use a Mac computer I can’t have a look at my end and be more specific.
