williamblackshaw 43 Posted February 24, 2014 I remember as a kid the motor show, one year in London then Birmingham, was great seeing the likes of Ferrari etc, why did the show's stop?
James Baggott 227 Posted February 25, 2014 Manufacturers concentrated on other markets when the tough times arrived. With big names pulling out it was impossible to keep it going. During that time Festival of Speed became more important and manufacturers spent their British Motor Show money elsewhere. It'd be near on impossible to resurrect it now as there simply isn't a slot in the motor show calendar for it to fit now. Huge shame especially with the resurgence in British manufacturing of cars. c_cars 56 Posted February 25, 2014 Used to love the Motorshow as a kid and have got a massive collection of brochures as a result, all from around the time when Ka, Mondeo and Vectra were launched, and some even before that!
