Andy Entwistle 96 Posted October 21, 2013 There was a report i read a few years ago that showed that the percentage of 5 year old cars without some sort of accident repair was very very low. It might just be something minor, but during 5 years its inevitable that most cars will have had something done.Would the industry support a HPI type register of cars that have been repaired within the approved network that can be checked, or do you think this would impact the value of stock adversely? Guest Posted October 21, 2013 Is there also an argument to say that dealers should be "fully" checking cars before they are taken in as part exchange and subsequently sold on or put on forecourt? In reality, I guess this wouldn't happen unless it was an industry standard. The customer would just go down to the dealer down the road that didn't do the check.
