No. Doesn't look good does it. :-(

I understand that the scam has pissed you legitimate dealers off. That's fair enough. But the scam itself hasn't cost you money. In fact, if anything, the awareness that this kind of deal is too good to be true surely is a good thing for proper dealers. SLL has lost out, as have a at least few others by the sounds of it. The criminals are the ones ripping off the innocent AND possibly giving car dealers a bad name. So imo SLL has done everyone a favour bringing this to our/your attention, and doesn't deserve a slagging.

SLL28 isn't the OP. I imagine she googled the company to see if there had been complaints after getting suspicious. That's what I did, and this is the only thing that came up. So she added to the thread to help out others. Surely the 'greedy' ones are the scamming bastards who take thousands of pounds off people for absolutely nothing in return. Give her a break, she's not harmed anyone, only helped by making others aware. Not her fault you guys are knowledgeable car dealers.

Well I did get a reply from my enquiry about going to view the cars prior to buying. They make it sound like they sell primarily to dealers, almost as if they are trying to put me off buying. Wonder if they actually rip dealers off too? Or are they aware peopl are on to them? This is the reply: Hello ,We win vehicles at auctions all over the country. The cars have been taken over by the government or by financial institutions or banks from people with financial woes and cannot pay for the loans that they made.Local pick-up is not available. Most of the vehicles are stored at the parking lots of banks and financial institutions. They don't have showrooms or specialized people in order to offer this service. They are pressing us to take the car from there as soon as possible. In order to avoid unnecessary shipping costs, we prefer to find a buyer(dealer) and deliver the car directly to his address.Private buyers can buy from us if they accept this procedure. It is unusual for purchasing a car in this manner;most of the private buyers want to see and test the vehicle and we do not have those options so we are mostly dealing with car dealersCaroline Anne JeavonsUsed Cars Lancswww.used-carslancs.co.ukCompany Number: 06939617VAT Number: GB 157426008

I'm only 1/2 hour away from them so in theory could visit...if that's an option? I've emailed them to ask.

Yeah. Kind of sounds feasible. But why have we never come across them before? Lol i saw a random car they put in autotrader and followed the link to their website. All the cars I've seen are about £1500 less than I'd find on autotrader.

Ah. Didn't think of checking FB. Ta. Website says they deliver the car and give you 3 days to decide wether to keep it or not. Although most of the angry faces are from the same 2 people. Hmmm

Same question here. What's the score. Very tempted at the moment. Read the FAQs etc and it seems that they've been trading for about 10 years. Too good to be true??
