Hi all Went to apply for trade plates last night, well fill in the form but seems have to pay by cheque. As yet I do not have a cheque book for my business account. Does anyone know if they'll accept a personal cheque? Thanks Paul

Do you guys ge the guide prices when you export as mine are blank?

I intend to do things right and will be selling as a trader & not 'for a friend' etc.

Going forward and if anything like this happens I would advise if there are texts you screenshot them or photograph them as having a note might not be accepted by the Judge as your word against theirs.

Having been to BCA numerous times in the past month or so I would agree that things don't seem to go cheap or for bargain prices but you do get the odd one, plus you have the advantage of if the work needs doing you can do it yourself. Definitely not going against advice of others here as they are far more experienced than me, this is just my experience over recent time.

Hi Del Boy, I'd been a few times and spoke to someone. Told them I anticipated buying 20+ cars per year. They put me on silver and said they'd put me to gold if I got trade insurance, which I did.

Hi Arfur, I've no experience save for buying and selling cars for mine and the ex Wife's personal use. Always done well in that, sourcing a car, using for 1-3 years and selling for around what I paid. I enjoyed the hunt for them and so thought I'd give it a try, low value so lower possible profit but also as I see it lower risk, and all experience! Oh and taking off the ex, she has me by the balls for the next 2 years so if I don't make much money but gain lots of experience then all the better!!!

Hi all Just a quick hello and brief intro from another new 'dealer', well trader as it's from my drive! Very little experience but keen to learn, in the full understanding this may cost, but not as much as Uni nowadays! Looking at having 1-2 cars at a time in the 1-4k region sold from driveway.
