  1. Does anyone buy much from here anymore? Their stuff seems pretty much retail money these days and the last handful i have bought have been appraised completely wrong, I.e previous repairs / Flywheel rattles not noted etc.

We’ve now agreed to refund with reduction of costs. They just don’t want the vehicle as most predicted (Buyers remorse). It’s been a strange one but onwards and upwards. Thanks for all the comments once again.

Did they admit there was nothing wrong with the clutch and that they just didnt want the van anymore ?

  3. Really like your selection of photos, shows nearly every angle possible, plus alot of interior shots will be appealing to a customer. A good valet on the Audi would maybe bring more potential buyers, like the exhaust tip shot, if the tips where shiny and tyres were slicked with those sort of pictures it would look great :) i like the videos also!

Bloody hope it picks up, phone hasn't rang in 2 weeks now. Had 2 gone in the first 4 days of Jan, one came back for a warranty claim though. Get the odd email offering £750-1K less but that's it!

Think i'll start offering my manly services to all the lonely ladies to prop the car sales up when its quiet :D

 .. I've barely had a phone call all January and any calls I've got have been insulting offers or people offering over priced px's so i know how you feel!

January always pretty good for us. 18 so far (with no Autoraper bills). Buying is a bit harder though, you’re right there.

Same as Nick- too much time on here and also trade websites, eBay etc.

I walk the dogs mostly when quiet. I’ve often racked my brains of something else I could do. A workshop plugged on the side of the Sales is the way to go as every place I use is always very busy (good ones anyway).

Happy times, 18 is fantastic especially for Jan! Yeah id say we're all the same trying to think of something to do when its quiet, but a workshop would be nice for sure.

I spend a couple of hours a day contributing to this forum.

I also got all my stock through all their outstanding recalls from BMW.

I go skiing every other weekend so I am not tempted to reduce prices just because it's cold and slow :-)

Sounds good.. I never reduce prices especially at this time of year as i find it hard to replace stock in Jan/Feb.. it always picks up though!

  6. January is always a quiet month for me, never have much luck buying/selling many (Prices at auctions today were retail prices ).. So i was wondering does anyone on here do anything else when car sales are slow? My vehicle recovery side of the business fairly helps me at this time of year, does anyone else do recovery etc ?

    Welcome NITM,

I'll probably show my ignorance asking but why do you buy most stock from over the pond? Is it just because more is available or is stuff cheap enough to make shipping it worthwhile compared to cars at home?

Cheers Grant :) Only reason is because of availability, they dont work out any cheaper tbh as the transport kills it depending where abouts its bought from, but it saves running to our local auctions here, you's only think BCA etc is bad lol.

    Hi NITM

    welcome to the banter.

I thought NI should stay in the EU then everything would be directed via NI and it would become a booming economy. My friend from NI says the DUP would never entertain that.

Cheers! :) I didnt really get into the brexit thing but the more i read the more i wish i had of!

    hi

why arent you using capitols if you come from northern ireland;)

seems weird you coming over here for cars when 30 years ago we all went over there (5 years before first mot, everything was rotten:D)

Im one of the nice northern irish not the aggressive capital letter writer :P I mainly buy from the mainland due to the selection and availability of stock, also online bidding has made me lazy lol.

    Hi, and welcome :).

I am a newbie, too. I am learning how to trade from home still.

    Good luck!

Hi Lucas, hope all works well for you! :)

Hi, welcome, thanks for the intro. If one of my NI customers (they are all around Ballymena) needs recovery I will keep you in mind. If that’s near your area of course!

    Thanks Nick, much appreciated. :)

  10. Well i've been a long time lurker and decided to finally sign up! Just a quick intro.. Been trading full time from home for nearly 3 years, my stock-list is usually only 7-8 cars ranging from £2000 - £6000 and i do a bit of vehicle recovery also. I'm from Northern Ireland but i buy 95% of my stock in England/Scotland.

So thats it really, just a friendly Hi for now ^_^
